We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. I drive an hour one way, past other ranges, to go shoot at the pit in lapeer. OC friendly gun store right in town too.

Is this a DNR area? Are there any special hours or closed days to be concerned about?

Not sure of the name of the range in Grand Blanc <Flint Area> on Center rd. just north of I69 allows draw from holster and rapid fire. They want to check you out first to make sure your ok but if you pass the smell <idiot> test then it's all good. They told me they were setting up and walk thru shoot & scoot range. Now that is where I will be going for realalistic practice.....just saying

The range is in Burton. Make a left from 69E, its about a mile down on the right before the tracks. Its called Advanced Ranges.
The pit is DNR, its kindof a daylight thing, though there are no gates or range officers, respect the neighbors by not firing late at night. It's year round.
Please people, this area is rare, and all it takes to be gone is a signature and a sign. Leave the place better than you found it. If you shoot stuff, pick it back up when you are done. The last time I was there, someone left a large console TV on the firing line, all shot up, and thats the kind of thing that can ruin it for everyone else.
