John Pierce is an avid shooting fan. On his horse, Shooter, he is shown here competing in a Cowboy Mounted Shooting event recently hosted by the Tennessee Ridge Runner CMSA Club at McPherson's Quarter Horse Arena in Bristol, TN. Pierce is also an NRA weapons instructor, and co-funder of OpenCarry.org, an Internet-based gun rights community and executive member of the Virginia Citizens Defense League.[/align]
