The 4th shot down with the pipe, drink and gun is particularly good.

Amazing what you can accomplish with a little "studio" and some good camera work. Well done sir.

Thanks for the kind words. I must admit that prop photography is sort of a weak link of mine and my friend helped with most of the setup and arranging. Regardless, it was a lot of fun.

Can't figure out if it's my lack of any real photography skills or the camera itself, but my pictures seem lacking. Oh well, here are my 2 babies. My Mossberg 500 and my Springfield XDm40.

maybe because its the background..its too busy. Lets have an open carry photography workshop meet!

The background could very well be the problem. Shemaghs have a lot going on, which is part of why I like the looks. Maybe I'll do it on a solid background for my next pictures when I get a new gun.

Count me in!

Jak, watch the edges of your frame too. That last picture would be better had the pistol grip and barrel not been cutout of the frame. The first picture is suffering this slightly too (rear sight).

LOL an OC photo editing workshop!

Well, I upgraded since my last post a few weeks ago on this thread.

Proud owner of a new (well, was until Saturday when I put 250 rounds down her), XD-45 with thumb safety.

I tell you what, this thing is a tack driver and kicks so much smoother compared to my xd-40sc.

That and Icarry 13 in the mag +1 in the pipe +13 more in another mag... All 230gr +P HST's.

maybe go back and do a better job of unloading that shotgun too!
there is a shell still in the half opened action!
whats up with that?

I thought that it would look better than just open and empty. Kind of like posing as model. Also, with my pistol being emptied for the picture, it was the only thing left for home protection during the setup and picture taking.

Photo Shoot Info

Hey, I am new to the forum, but I was reading this one and enjoying the pictures. I am a professional photographer and if some of you are really serious about learning a little more about taking some nice pictures of your guns I would be more than happy to teach a small class on basic studio photography.

I don't have to many gun shots up here at the moment, but I do have a few up.

I am by no means an artist so I just took some pics of my Metro Arms American Classic commander

Here is my AR and Glock22

Here is my Taurus Model 82 - It has a hogue grip on it now
taurus82.jpg

Can you advise on that Taurus 82, what holster you use (if any) and what you like or don't like about it? I am in the market for such a holster for that model. Any other info on that gun as to reliability, etc., would be appreciated here or PM me. Thanks. OVJ

I actually do not have a decent holster for the model. I have carried in a nylon holster though. I have been planning on getting a bianchi thumbbreak for it. I cannot say anything bad about it other than the factory grips, I replaced mine with a set of hogue grips.
