Just watched the clip, thank you for making it available. Lori pushes for universal background checks, holds Virginia up as lacking compared to others places with Universal background checks, then goes on about how Virginia's background check system is so great that others want to copy it. It can't be both at the same time can it? She also likes to use the word "WE" for her personal view or opinion. Guess that means her opinion should count more. Anyone else think that her mike was hotter (turned up/louder) than the others. Her mike was not that close to her mouth but she still came through louder than the others. JMHO
Bold is mine, and yes, I was going to make that comment myself. It seemed like everytime the camera wasn't directly on Phil or ProS, their mic's were turned off completely, and had to be brought up to volume. I didn't notice that with either of the anti's.
That was very frustrating to watch. Of the 4 of them, she was the only one to openly disrespect the other panelists with a well placed exhale and roll of the eyes, on several occasions. I saw her do it to both Phil and Jim, and it wouldn't surprise me if she had done it to Charles during one of his more pro-gun segments. I also don't feel Charles had any business being on that panel, despite his job description, some people just are not public speakers. Also, Mr. "Devils' Advocate" co-host was so full of misinformation and loaded questions/comments, he may as well have kicked Charles out and been a panelist himself.
EDIT: Almost forgot to point out the positives...Phil and Jim represented us well, given the limitations imposed on them by the station and a certain interrupting blowhard who just "had to disagree with you" (was I the only one who got really sick of hearing that?) on every logical point made. They definitely have my vote for a return campaign, if ever a similar opportunity presents itself.
