Motorcycle carry

I will be traveling through Utah on my motorcycle later this month, and I am wondering how the carry laws apply. Is it considered the same as a car? I normally open carry a double action revolver. Will I need to have it "Utah unloaded"?

I always carry openly and that does not change when I ride. Above are Utah laws.

If I might inject a word of caution regarding your cite, after a quick review of the information contained on the site for NC I found several points which are incorrect and several misleading, e.g., states gun buster signs carry weight of law, they do not, with the exception of carry in state facilities/courthouses, there is no repercussions, except being cited for trespass; information under restaurants is misleading; etc.

Just a heads up everyone should do due diligence and research for themselves from the state statutes using internet sites as Gospel.

If I am understanding the statutes correctly, I would be legal with my firearm loaded while on the bike, but would need to remove a couple of rounds before dismounting.
Might garner some unwanted attention unholstering my gun at each and every stop. To an overzealous LEO, it might even be mistaken for brandishing.

OK, if I correctly understand what I have been reading, Utah will honor my concealed carry permit issued by Oregon. Although I will not be carrying concealed, it would seem to exempt me from the "Utah unloaded" requirement while open carrying.
Am I all wet here?

Seems like "fear tactics" to me injecting NorthCarolina laws in response to a cite posted of UTAH law!

Don't see it that way at all. In fact I read that he is giving his appreciation for causing him to check carefully. He clearly recommends that.

Alas Freedomlover, sorry no ‘fear tactics’ whatsoever, but was referencing MSG L’s cite, [https://www.gunstocarry.com/gun-laws-state/utah-gun-laws/] to validate that his cite’s information against a personally known state’s [NC] statutory mandates was viable and accurate and as I indicated found the website’s data referenced for NC to be incorrect and misleading in several instances.

Then I proffered my customary warning that this forum’s readers should research the statutes themselves to assure they fully understand what was cited.

MSG L’s post, beside the website cite, also facilitated further guidance by citing applicable UT statutes, chapter and verse, as required by forum protocols which assured the OP could investigate the specific statute clause(s) on their own if they still had questions.
