Decided to start a new thread so as to stop giving myself sky-high blood pressure every time I saw the old thread at the top.

The original thread: http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/showthread.php?119113-MDA-events-in-AZ-(TOMORROW!)

They are more than likely to "mobilize" (read: be paid to attend) again this year, and it would be nice to have a presence of pro-Rights, anti-rhetoric individuals to counter protest.

They'll have professionally-made signs and coordinated, possibly even pre-rehearsed poses, and will use (yes, USE) the children they bring along as sign holders to push that "guilt factor".

IMPORTANT!:

MDA likes to announce their plans at the last-minute so as to minimize the presence of pro-Rights activists; this is done to have a monopoly on the media coverage of the event in question (again, they revel in dancing on the graves of the victims, seeing as pro-Rights groups hadn't planned anything on that date out of respect for the victims), as well as trying to beat the pro-Rights individuals that are able to attend into submission.

From my experience with them last year, I can attest to their "swarm" tactic of having two or three bombard you with loaded questions such as "why are you against common-sense gun control?" (because history shows it doesn't work, and it ISN'T common sense to disarm the potential victims:rolleyes:) or "we're trying to stop murders of young children. Why are you here?" (to remind people that criminals like unarmed victims, in fact, they seem to COUNT on it).

Backstory posts for this thread

The original thread quieted down on the 15th of December, 2013; the following posts were made after the 28th of October, 2014:

Rusty, do you think they will try this again this year ?

After seeing them push their rhetoric over the bodies of the teens who were murdered by a "popular" kid who couldn't lawfully CC (and was already breaking the law when entering the school armed), my answer is "why wouldn't they?". Better yet, why should we expect better from them?

As organizations, MAD moms, Illegal Mayors Against Legal Guns, and the Brady Brunch have all shown a predisposition to using the bodies of the fallen victims to advance their agenda, a tendency to espouse the violence they CLAIM to be against (bloodlust for those who have decided not to be easy prey), and their consummate ability to lie, distort, and exaggerate in spite of the fundamental flaw in their rhetoric: the law applies ONLY to those who choose to abide by it, and applies to criminals only if, and when, they are caught.:banghead:

I kept my signs, I have more cardboard, the printing costs are worth the expense, and I will be well rested on that morning. I hope I see at least one other Freedom-loving individual there, because it can be a lonely and disheartening experience to see so many people pushing to make others as defenseless as they've chosen to render themselves "for the children".

/rant off

Rusty, let me know if there is any word on any events that MDA may be putting together for this year, I will be sure to stand alongside you and any other true American in protest to what these people stand for.:monkey:cool::mad:

Don't know how I missed this post.

THAT's the spirit I'd like to see in each and every armed Law-Abiding Citizen in Arizona; it'd send a very clear message to state and Fed "representatives" indeed.:)

I will be in Tucson that Sunday, and the MAD moms are likely to hit the same parks as last year (listed above, more or less).

Let me know if any specific place/time/date is indeed confirmed. It would be awesome to get more people involved alongside us. Not sure what FreeInAZ or Peter and anyone else is up to but even if we all need to load up into my 84 corolla and drive down to Tucson it is something I am willing to do, (Grant it my wife approves ) please let me know sir! You have our contact info!!!

Yes, if they are holding a rally, I will be there with my OC friends if I am in town. It will be an honor to counter-protest with them. I am happy to pay for any additional signs needed and gas for the trip to Tucson.

No events listed on MDA page for Nov or Dec yet.

Let's hope they are learning from Gabby Gifford's experiences as of late. Meaning no one bothers to show up to hear the Bloomberg propaganda. ;)

We can also have some good signs. Why don't we work out now what they should say and the designs. Then they can be printed at the last minute if needed.

Sounds good.

Short and concise messages work best to convey the message, and bold letters grab people's attention.
I've got a few messages I'd like to nominate for "sign-worthy" status.:) I'll shorten it down to four or five, and then we can pool our ideas and decide on a few.:)

Also, sending PM.

Count me in, I am willing to do as much as I can, even if it is last minute so long as I am available!
