Good resolution!
Whether or not you ever darken their doorstep again,
the manager in question will be educated,
sounds like other managers will be educated,
and it's much less likely that another citizen will be asked to "leave it in the car".

And I had to chuckle at your typo:

That's quite a long time dancing!

 no no no, that's the dance getting in and out of the vehicle...I was confused!

LOL, and kudos to you, Icrew, for bettering the world just a tiny bit with one email! The store's response was classy and earns them a 2nd chance on 2A. You did them a favor by letting them know they'd put an idjit in charge.

It's really disheartening that even stores selling firearms are doing such a poor job of educating employees on carry laws and rights. Here we have a manager who can't even abide by the sign posted at the entry to his workplace???! What's the solution? Isn't it in the commercial interest of a firearms seller to protect the market for firearms by bolstering carry rights?

Other stores aren't exempt, either. They seem to have found ways to make sure their employees aren't harassing customers about other rights. If your store's decided to honor carry rights, is it really that difficult to post a memo above the time clock and mention it during training?

IcrewUH60. Good job moving your purchase right then and there. Buying should not be complicated.

Though the store may straighten it out in the future, you should be able to have a good buying experience. I would have done the same.
