I need some help in locating some information pertaining to concealed carry laws in states other than Michigan. The following is a list of "Pistol Free Zones" in Michigan. My goal is to isolate states with fewer "Pistol Free Zones", and compare them with violent crime rates on those premises. If you live in a state which allows you to carry in any of these zones, please post, and cite laws. Thank you.

Taken from Act 372 of 1927

28.425o

(a) A school or school property

(b) A public or private child care center or day care center, public or private child caring institution, or public or private child placing agency.

(c) A sports arena or stadium.

(d) A bar or tavern

(e) Any property or facility owned or operated by a church, synagogue, mosque, temple, or other place of worship

(f) An entertainment facility with a seating capacity of 2,500 or more individuals that the individual knows or should know has a seating capacity of 2,500 or more individuals or that has a sign above each public entrance stating in letters not less than 1-inch high a seating capacity of 2,500 or more individuals.

(g) A hospital.

(h) A dormitory or classroom of a community college, college, or university.

This list has purposely been edited for space, but it gives you the basics. To see the entire law, go to http://www.legislature.mi.gov/(S(5hhwxg45quc3hpzyijgn1kqc))/mileg.aspx?page=getobject&objectname=mcl-28-425o&query=on&highlight=concealed%20AND%20carry

Also:
23 states permit the unconcealed carry of loaded handguns in vehicles, and these states generally have similar incidence of law enforcement officers being harmed by handguns during traffic stops as in states which do not allow such carry.

If you know of a link for stats in your state, please post it.

In Pennsylvania, assuming you have a LTCF (License to Carry Firearms) the only "prohibited" places are:

Courtrooms and Adjoining Corridors (Ref 18 PaCS §913)
Federal facilities (unless authorized)
Adult and Juvenile Detention Facilities
Sterile areas of Airport Terminals (Beyond the checkpoints)
Primary (K-12) and secondary (Highschool) schools. (Ref 18PACS §912

If you do NOT hold a LTCF, additional places include:
Public Streets and Buildings in a "City of the First Class (A city with over One-Million residents - currently Philadelphia is the only CotFC in PA)
State Parks
