I still see signs at the entrance to parks in Puyallup that read no weapons. Also in Leavenworth. And Federal Way's website for city park rules and regulations.

Puyallup knows, they just don't care! They don't have the budget, nor the time to address it. They're aware and have been made aware by many a people. They also stated "We have never arrested anyone for carrying a firearm in public parks. We are aware but are waiting."

IDK if they're waiting on Seattle or what, but 9.41.290 is the law. They have no choice, period!

Its not unusual, there are quite a few that are well aware they are not in compliance but have ignored repeated efforts to educate and requests to change. Bothell and Lake Forest Park are two that I have been dealing with over the last few years. I get the sense from them that they are waiting for Seattle's appeal to go one way or another before they make any decisions.

I recently stopped asking cities to change, and simply starting informing them their laws on this issue are null and void and any attempt at enforcement would likely result in lawsuit and bad press. They seemed to pay more attention with that warning, but still did nothing.

In the end it doesn't really mater overmuch, because even tho their no carry law or ordinance is on the books, it truly isn't because its been ex-post-facto repealed by State Preemption.
