If we all just walked away w/o making an honest effort to clarify or correct an ill informed employee's response by progressing up the food chain, we would soon enough abandon the field and leave it to our enemies.I've pretty much decided that I won't shop there anymore. Kohl's can **** it. I've OC'd all last weekend again and didn't have a problem once. I've been in Barnes and Noble, Target several times, Menard's, Claire's, Foot Locker, and in a local VERY busy cupcake shop (which I really thought if anything someone would say something to me there, but they didn't), I think I act nicer when I'm out carrying too because it's important to me to see "normal" happy family people OC'ing.

+1.Well before I read your last reply, Grapeshot, I did decide to call the store manager last week. I called and asked to speak to the store manager and I got the assistant store manager and I asked her what Kohl's policy was on the 2nd Amendment and the right to carry in Minnesota. She told me promptly that they obide by state laws and if I have a permit to carry I am welcome to open carry there, I told her what happened and she told me that she would get the store manager and put me on hold. The store manager got on the phone and told me the same, that they obide by the local and state laws and told me that the "associate" that told me was completely wrong and acted on her own and that he was very sorry about the incident and that I was welcome back anytime and that he hoped that I would come back. When I asked him if he was going to inform the specific "associate" about the correct Kohl's policy he told me that she no longer worked there following the incident
I'm SO GLAD that I called them and talked to them, I feel MUCH better about it
Thank you ALL for your advice!!!

You'd be surprise (or maybe not) who has actually registered to this forum. What we say and do here is an open book - read w/o even registering by the curious.I'd be curious to know, too, whether there was a connection between your being to disarm and the employee's departure.
If there was a connection, I wonder how the company found out about it?
Did marketing, crawling the web for references to their company, find this thread and report it?

PS I had a chuckle when I read that other motorcycle riders also OC, I do too! ha!
