Hi folks,
I am one of the few remaining conservatives currently living in this cesspool of Socialism called CommieFornia. Well, We are preparing to move ... to KENTUCKY!
Now, I am a very strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment, and it is no accident that we (I) chose Kentucky as my new, and probably permanent home. The choice of where to move ... I didn't know, maybe Arizona,or Texas, or Oklahoma ... Then a friend suggested I look at the Brady Bunch website. He told me that they rate all 50 states according to that moronic group's assessment of each state's GUN LAWS! Well what do you know! Commiefornia is #1! No surprise there. KENTUCKY is #50. The Brady Bunch HATES Kentucky, and instantly made your beautiful state my #1 choice!
Last November, we flew into Nashville, rented a car, and drove to Bowling Green to spend a few days rolling around southwestern Kentucky. we were looking at homes, and businesses, and hospitals, etc. We absolutely fell in love with the area, and the people. We had forgotten that people could be kind and considerate, and polite, and civil! That is something that you just don't see here in The Land of Fruits and Nuts! I didn't even want to return to CA., exceptthat my guns and computers and tools are here, and I'm not leaving THEM behind!
Well, I'll be moving to Kentuky, probably in late summer. I am 51, single, and will be self-employed. My mother is coming also. I want to get her away from the chaos of the infestation of illegals, crime, car alarms, water rationing, obscene taxes, mind numbing traffic jams and rampant Socialism!
So I have been reading things here and from other sources, about gun ownership, open carry, concealed carry and such. Some of the information contradicts other information, and I'm not sure what it true.
What I need, is a checklist of the "Things To Do" that I will need to accomplish, in order to reach the point where I can LEGALLY OC and CC in Kentucky.
I've heard that there is a six month residential requirement before I can exercise this right. I've heard "90 days" and "1 year," and other variations.
Can you GOOD FOLKS and GREAT AMERICANS help me get the skinny on the FACTS?
All help will be greatly appreciated!
