Sad but true, seems like Commiefornia/NYC Cops & Fudds are taking over THR.

I hope Oleg eventually notices and tries to get things back under control, but i'm not to hopeful.

Lately any Mention of Cops there Automatically = Cop Bashing
And any Mention of Full-Auto gets Rationalized/thrown under the bus by someone with the "Can't hunt Dear with Full Auto" Mentality....

Makes you want to :banghead: quite often.

I hear ya Eagle. For the most part, I enjoythe humar/knowledge atTHR, however, rules are rules as far as I'm concerned and they should be enforced on all members, not just those who simply have alow post count.

I've been frequenting that site for several years and will continue to do so, but, it's not likely I'll be a member anytime soon.

It's not the Low Post count people who get hassled, it's the ones who differ in opinion from the Moderators/Trolls.

QFT. I had a decent post count when I stopped going. ANY dissent, or differing opinions are either punished or ostrisized. If you disagree with the principals of going to war with Iraq, you are a trader and a commie. If you don't agree that building a 500' tall wall will stop illegal immigration as well as being economically unfeasable, you are a liberal mexican lover. REAL Conservatives (tm) agree with everything Sean Hannity says, as he uses logic and reason to make his points, NEVER emotional plea. Anne Coulter is what all women should aspire to. The list goes on and on. These are just some of the things I remember seeing when I last was there.

Oh and some of those guys seem to be 88, Stormfront types. Not my thing.

I've said it before and I think it bears repeating.

I often get the feeling that many people who only CC do so because it "allows" them to go about their day always in "condition white". They don't think they have to be careful or alert because they have a gun if anything did happen.

They don't realize that they could be putting themselves in more danger than being unarmed because they are more likely to find themselves in a situation where there is no time to make a decision - which would quite probably push them to a bad decision.

Being aware is more important than being armed.

Most people who both CC and OC can clearly tell the difference in awareness and care we take in OC'ing. You know you can't be careless because everybody can see you are armed - and you are well aware of it.
+100

I think I've read arguments from die-hard CCers where they explicitly said they CC because OC requires too much situational awareness. Sad... very sad.

I encounter thethe same atttude within thehorse world, people don't like to ride stallions (no matter how gentle and well behaved), or ride in a group that has a rider on a stallionbecause you have to be always situationally aware. Even though the stallion is a more highly tuned, fun horse to ride.

I liken it to the difference between driving a ferrari and a toyota camry, lol. Sure you got to have skill to drive the ferrari, but if you have the nesessary experience, and you have a choice,do you want to settle for the camry?

Even though my stallion is very well behaved, I'm excluded from riding with most people just because they don't want to have to remain aware and want to drift off into conversation, thoughts, or watever. I've seen so many problems arise from this thinking; people are lulled into a false sense of security and then don't notice when their normally reliable mare or gelding starts something with the horse nearby.

People get hurt.

Cops don’t like open carry. I think it’s about ‘exclusivity’ more than anything else. They don’t like that people that drive their old Crown Vics either for the same reason. I figure they need something to make them feel special, a little power and ego boost, so they get mad when the mere peasants carry openly.

That fits in with the

attitude I've noticed on several LEO forums.

Any they're the ones that get quoted by the anti-gun &rad-lib bloogerswho occasionally pop over to see what the "enemy" is up to. That's right.... I keep tabs on the other side's rantings, and I've seen more than a few mentions of THR threads posted on various gun-grabber blogs.
