SVG, your point it takes a human to do it is well and valid. if some one uses an ax to kill someone. we don't say the ax killed them. the person wielding the ax is the killer. i think this is what EYE is trying to say. but i say that the sight of a gun will deter and stop the BG. there are lots of time i don't even know it. would that not be a major factor. that if it was us then we would have to actively be deterring a specific act

I think we are saying the same thing. I found the topic and arguments intriguing and it made me shift my position a bit.

the fact is you will never win them over, and i am talking about the real ANTIs. they are intrenched in their rhetoric more then you. it is easier to be a Anti, they don't have to think.
they will be anti until something happens in their lives that changes them. i try to present facts to encourage the fence sitters to decide, that are listening to the argument. i do think the facts will win in the end
one thing you might have to do is dicide if they are Hopolophobes or eleuthrophobes, the first are just scared of guns and maybe could be changed, the second is afraid of you having the freedom to own guns, and would do anything to get that from you
