Or like me when I depositted off a student loan check, then came back in two minutes later to take $80 out to get a new starter.

The old one finally stopped responding to repeated hammer blows. :(
don't you hate when that happens? just when you think you've got the thing trained, and then...

Hey, I got 8 more months out of that starter using a 14 ounce ball-peen hammer. I'm happy with that, especially since it went out 6 blocks from Autozone.

More amusing part: BoA's satellite drive-through window was right in front of where I'd parked, so the two ladies in there got to have a fun time watching me OC while I worked on my Jeep. :D

When I was done, I hopped up, started the engine, and raised my arms to soak up the priase and glory as the engine went back to its usual rumbling noise.

One of the women watching me got a great laugh out of that.

One of the highlights of working as a teenager was when my mid 40's single female boss had tried for the last time to work with her bank. She was the owner of the business I worked at. Well the bank manager pissed her off on the wrong week. She grabbed me and off to the bank we went. We walked in, went to the counter and she asked to close her account. 2 hours later we left with all $120k of the account. That was awesome. She taught me then and there that the customer with the big account better come first. You should have seen the managers graubling trying to keep the account. My boss enjoyed every minute of it and closed the account anyways.
