Ok, let's for a minute say that he is trying to "light a fire under us" He's going about it the wrong way and just pissing people off.

As for organization? Ok, fine. Who wants to step up and take the lead? Anyone? There are 2 guys I'd trust to run this and I doubt either of them wants the job. So until someone wants to take the reigns we'll just have to keep doing what we're doing. Despite what smooth says we are making progress.

When I first came to this forum I noticed that many times when some one posts a comment, some one will come in and start posting a bunch of statutes and legal material slamming the person and telling them they don't know what they are talking about.
I'm sure I have become guilty of this as well. If I have I wish to apologize to all.
I say from this day forward, we stand together and we fight this fight as if we were defending our children. Because in reality.....we are defending our children.

No more bickering among ourselves and no more arguing among ourselves. The only thing this does is place a smile on Barrett's and Flynn's faces. If you don't think they look at this site then thing again.

This site IS about OC and we do all need to remember that. I like all of you want CC to be legal as well. But for now, OC is my goal. If CC falls into place then Merry Xmas to us all.

I vow to stand together with Mike, Nik and all of you in this fight and there will be no more negative posts from me.

I hope all of you will vow the same. No more battering people with legal material. posting statutes is fine just don't do it to belittle anyone.

All in Favor?

As to organization and/or actions, I have taken a lead roll. On June 18, we are having our SECOND OC event in La Crosse County. It is my goal to try and have a meeting, dinner, walks, what have you, at leastonce every month.

http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/forum57/26965.html

Do I expect a turn out like we had at the first event? No, but I will continue to offer my services to those in the La Crosse area, and in the Central Sands. Hell, it looks like I'm the only guy on this board carrying in the Central Sands, that's four (4) full counties in Wisconsin and I stand alone!

http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/forum57/26393-2.html

That's enough on my soap box I guess.

Those who can make it, and who are willing to stand up for your rights, I'll see you on Thursday.

I will remind the forum that the Michigan people have been at this for 2 or 3 years...not 2 or 3 months like us (counting the VH memo as ground zero).

I hate to say it guys, Smooth is pretty much correct!

We are incapable of organizing as a group! look at the arguments in the last few months over C-C & O-C , We are fighting amongst oursleves, it has escalated from heated discussion and evolved into heated arguments.

Look at what happended to the Madison gathering that a member of the 2A sisters was planning!

I am sure many of us would like the ability to C-C legally without fear of arrest and court time. But currently all we have available to us is O-C, and many people in govt are trying to make that right go away too.
Barret called us a "Special Interest Group" whichshows he thinks less of people exercising their 2A rights than he Does of group that goes by the name "NAMBLA" (google it, you'll be sickened)

Smooth makes a statement to try and point out the foolish arguing and lack of initiative as a group! and he is called a troll be a few select people.

My guess is that Smooth is trying to light a fire under each and every one of our asses to mobilize and secure our right to O-C, and later down the road maybe get C-C as a legal option too.

At last there is one among you that has some phuqing sense about him. My point exactly is to piss people off and get them motivated.

You guys think putting crap on an internet forum is going to get anything done?

You think writing letters and sending e-mails will get anything done??

Get a grip, organize and STOP TALKING AND TAKE ACTION.......someone here said that I am not a Wisconsinnite and your right, I refuse to be, I live here but will never succumb to being a subject of this tyrannical communistic shiitehole that you people call a state!!:celebrate

This place is the most screwed up liberal shithole I have ever lived, though the fishing is good.

J. Gleason:

I suspect your comments regarding prople that post statutes and legal information for the purpose of slamming and belittlement had me as one of it's intended targets. Rest assured that was not the intent of my posts. Some of us have been fighting the open carry battle on this forum for two and three years. We have gone down the road of discussing statutes and legal information ad naseum. Not for the purpose of belittleing each other but as healthy dialouge in order to ferret out our legal position and get to common ground. Any legal stuff any of us has posted has been done so as infromation. No, we haven't always agreed with each other, that's what debate is all about. It is healthy dialouge that brings out the facts and the truth.

You have been a member of this forum for six weeks. Speaking for myself any information I have posted in attention to you has been to bring you up to speed as to where many of the rest of us are.I regret that you do not see it that way.

With that I bid this forum adieu. I will no longer write any posts. If anyone wants my opinion on an issue Iwill commmunicate via PM or email dale@baldwin-telecom.net.

Just how did you take that as a personal attack? I was apologizing for MY actions in this forum. With responses like yours all your doing is proving smooth right.

My post was in no way directed towards anyone specific and I actually accused myself of the same behavior.

What is it with you guys here? Is this an open public forum or is this a good ole boy forum? Please tell me.

What does my being a member for only 6 weeks have to do with anything. I understand that some of you have been a member of this forum for a couple of years, that's great! I have been open carrying for 20 years. That is longer than some of you (not all of you) have been out of diapers. Is that experience worth anything? I have open carried in every state. Does that mean I know everything.... absolutely not and neither do I pretend too.

All I said is that when I first came to the forum it seemed like every time I posted something someone would come back with "cite your source" or threw some legal beagle 2 page post at me. That approach makes people feel unwelcome. I am sure I am not the only person that feels that way. There has to be a better way to break the ice than that.

I appreciate the knowledge that is found on this forum as I am sure many others do as well, including yourself. I just think it could be a little friendlier.

That is what I tried to do I was apologizing for some previous posts that I had made.

Funny thing is like I said I have open carried for 20 years never needed this forum then and don't really need it now. Just wanted to do my part to help us all keep our rights. Didn't come for the drama.

I understand.

Just keep up with the friendly posts. The antagonism from others will die off.

Some people need to be pissed-off to get motivated, "Whatever seems to work" is what I like to use! If thats what it takes, Go for it. If it bothers you, deal with it!

Since the AG's opinion, What have we as a group or class of people done? BNH hosted a picnic, Para Hugh, and a few others carried in a small group in Milwaukee to throw it Flynn's face (Congrats guys, keep it up!) Greg Hosted a gathering at his home in Greenfield. Myself and another northwoods business owners did an O-C walk in Minocqua for SHernandez's newspaper article. Pontman carries around his town regularly. I think we could all take a page from parabellums book, he realized a right was being trampled and stood and said a big F-YOU by carrying, and got arrested a few times! but now that every friggin police officer in WI knows O-C is a protected right, nobody is jumping on it and exercising it.

Other than that? are there any small groups going out for dinner? anyone challenging the park ban that happens to not have a statute number in Milwaukee.

Are groups meeting for lunch or dinner O-C'ing? I feel like we as a group are resting on other peoples accomplishments. It does not take a huge gathering of people to get the word out, it takes individuals to exercise that right and to not cave to police pressures. Can anyone even refer an attorney to represent us as a class of people to fight upcoming legislation and to fight rights violations?

Large groups are hard to organize, but there is absolutely no reason 5 or less people cannot have the same impact if they were to get out in public more for impromptu lunches and dinners.

BNH sent me a PM today to ask if I wanted to meet him around Wausau or Stevens Point, I am looking for a way to fit it in my schedule even though it is over an hour each way to wausau. We do not know how the police will react since nothing major took place down there yet, and I doubt they get the Milwaukee or Minocqua newspaper to even be aware O-C is legal and protected! So how about some others get away from the computer screens and just get out there and friggin carry, other interested parties will ask how and why, and let them join in, set a date for them to carry with you. We need active members to succeed, but instead people are leaving!
