Ok, let's for a minute say that he is trying to "light a fire under us" He's going about it the wrong way and just pissing people off.
Some people need to be pissed-off to get motivated, "Whatever seems to work" is what I like to use! If thats what it takes, Go for it. If it bothers you, deal with it!
Since the AG's opinion, What have we as a group or class of people done? BNH hosted a picnic, Para Hugh, and a few others carried in a small group in Milwaukee to throw it Flynn's face (Congrats guys, keep it up!) Greg Hosted a gathering at his home in Greenfield. Myself and another northwoods business owners did an O-C walk in Minocqua for SHernandez's newspaper article. Pontman carries around his town regularly. I think we could all take a page from parabellums book, he realized a right was being trampled and stood and said a big F-YOU by carrying, and got arrested a few times! but now that every friggin police officer in WI knows O-C is a protected right, nobody is jumping on it and exercising it.
Other than that? are there any small groups going out for dinner? anyone challenging the park ban that happens to not have a statute number in Milwaukee.
Are groups meeting for lunch or dinner O-C'ing? I feel like we as a group are resting on other peoples accomplishments. It does not take a huge gathering of people to get the word out, it takes individuals to exercise that right and to not cave to police pressures. Can anyone even refer an attorney to represent us as a
class of people to fight upcoming legislation and to fight rights violations?
Large groups are hard to organize, but there is absolutely no reason 5 or less people cannot have the same impact if they were to get out in public more for impromptu lunches and dinners.
BNH sent me a PM today to ask if I wanted to meet him around Wausau or Stevens Point, I am looking for a way to fit it in my schedule even though it is over an hour each way to wausau. We do not know how the police will react since nothing major took place down there yet, and I doubt they get the Milwaukee or Minocqua newspaper to even be aware O-C is legal and protected! So how about some others get away from the computer screens and just get out there and friggin carry, other interested parties will ask how and why, and let them join in, set a date for them to carry with you. We need active members to succeed, but instead people are leaving!
