Wow. Thats very frightening to me. I'm very glad you came out ok and werent hurt. Events like that make me really consider buying an alternative defense tool. Like an ASP, pepper spray, or even a sure fire with teeth.

Well, if all I have to do is be in fear of death or grievous injury, I am sure I can articulate that physical contact may equal fighting, may lead to going to the ground, may amount to the person taking my weapon.

Can I get a LEO opinion in here?
I would say, whatever or however you articulate yourself, you better be damn convincing. Sounds to me like you were about to get robbed and beaten. Thats how I would articulate it. As far as trying to debate that a leads to b leads to c.....etc just sounds phoney. Keep it simple. I was about to get robbed, and thats that.

What sucks is that ANY human is possible of killing another, with or without an inanimate object. They can kill with their bare hands.

I think once a human is set on doing a crime, there is little to say whether they will stop short of killing those in their way.

Why is it that WE, the victims, have so much deciding to do in that instant that the criminal doesn't have to worry about? If someone is doing a crime, and it involves the human victim, the criminal's rights should in effect be given up. You lay hands on me, or attempt to, you pay the price.

Granted, that can be contested and all, but in that instant, who really thinks about what will happen in a court of law? I would hope they are thinking of their safety, and the best way to insure that safety.

Yes, laws suck. And criminal rights suck worse!
