I was shadowing the Shotgunner. He had a bandoleer that kept falling off his shoulder and then would juggle the shotgun as he walked. He swept a bunch of folks on several occasions. I did ask if it was loaded, it was not. I cautioned him about his load as he was having trouble just walking around. He finally got cold and went home. No worries, just made a bunch of people nervous.
On another not, it was pretty obvious who carries regularly. A lot of the long gun folks just unconsciously played (touched, handled) their weapons. They just did not realize they were doing it. I saw a woman with an AR who probably never wore it slung before Saturday. It was too heavy for her and the sling was narrow and cut into her shoulder. She tried moving it from shoulder to shoulder an finally just held it with both hands at port arms. She caught the eyes of the LEOs standing ten meters away, but I got to her first with a gentle reminder. Most were very good about it and I am glad we did not have the problems some of the gun shows had saturday.
The fudd with camo pants?
He was 2 seconds from getting hit.
He kept covering people with his muzzle, and when I walked by, he unshouldered his shotgun and had it pointed RIGHT at me.
I yelled 'WATCH YOUR MUZZLE', and his response was 'It's OK, it's not loaded'............ I wanted to take it from him and beat him with it.
