I see pro's and con's of picketing.
First, I wish EVERY person who walked in their stores knew of their anti-rights policy. I know you shouldn't ask stores to post signs, but I wish Farm and Fleet would post EVERY store because I believe they'd get ALOT more pushback from people who don't even know they are anti-rights.
I mean heck, if a SENTRY store in WAUWATOSA takes down their no-guns sign due to public pressure a Farm and Fleet in a rural area would for sure.
The positive of picketing would be more attention to the issue.
The negative is that picketing would be perceived as aggressive and imposing our will on others. I think for WCI, in this situation we'd rather (from the organization's position) just let the free market play and voice our displeasure with our $.
They were going to review their policy, we let them know how their customers felt. There is nothing aggressive or imposing about that. The message back to us was loud and clear "they don't care".
WCI does respect the right of Farm and Fleet to have whatever policy they want. We don't think they made a VERY unwise business decision, but time will tell.
I have taken my business elsewhere.
I support anyone's choice to picket stores, but as an organization I don't think WCI would participate in picketing.
But as individuals! Have at it!
