Don't forget how many applications they took that day. I don't know what order they're doing it in, but I was pretty close to the front of the line when they opened up - so that could be why I've already received mine. They did more applications that day than they usually do in a month, but I'm sure they're on top of it.

Mine came in today. My buddy was right with me in line and his last name is only 2 letters before mine. Don't need it until next month so no worries regardless ;)

Wow sounds like big revenue for that county. It was nice of them to come up, but it would be even nicer to have Constitutional Carry.

I can dream right?

Thanks for all your effort on this Bill. It was good to see you at the show.

Maybe we should come up with a constitutional carry initiative, I'm of the opinion that if we beat 594 we need to immediately go on the offensive. I think CC would be an excellent issue to bring up for initiative, especially since 2015 being a non partisan election year had low turnout potential, amplifying our advantage

Constitutional carry would be awesome, but it does not answer my near term/immediate need for OR

Why doesnt Washington try to start a normalization with Oregon by accepting their CHL here?

We would need to amend our reciprocity law to do so. Oregon doesnt recognize any out of state licenses. Which is why we do not accept theirs.

I've been in and out of contact with my state senator over the issue. Also have written a "bill" to submit to her for consideration, we will see if I bring it up to her again this session what will happen....

Thank you Bill. The rest of you totally de-railed my question of how to get an OR CPL NOW. BTW that DC online class was annoying, just glad it was free. I don't know how these guys at place like Cabelas can take your money with a straight face, when it does not delete the fact you still need to go to OR for final processing anyway.

Next time you have a question everyone in the thread will completely stop talking about everything else that's being discussed until you get your question answered now that we know...

Wow, Sheriff Dickerson is even more WA-resident-friendly than the previous (pretty good) sheriff in Columbia County. That "Compelling Reason Form Letter" is awesome in its brevity.

Western Washington people, make an appointment and drive down to Columbia County! It's only a half-hour from Longview.

3 of us went to Pendleton, Oregon on 3 July to renew our permits that we originally received from Grant County. The process was simple, we had to schedule an appointment (3 or 4 weeks in advance), arrived with all the paperwork requested, wait for our turn.

All of us were in out and done within 40 minutes of arrival. Our permits arrived in just over a week. A big thanks to the Umatilla County Sheriff and staff!
