Seems BM agreed to destroy ‘confiscated’ firearms, those turned in by citizens [?] and those no longer needed as evidence[?] for the local LE shop?

Surely in lieu of physical destruction better methodology could have been found and used to assure possible historical firearms are not destroyed on a whim as well as bring even a small amount of $$ into the coffers?
Though it it commical watching the backpedal dance by LE & BM.
