I learned something horrible today about alternative browsers (not Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and vBulletin as I am moving into my Christmas Gift iPad Pro from Milady Wife. Nothing happens when I mash View Post of an ignored poster! I have had to unblock a few.

Apropos, G00gle is preparing a text only version of Chrome in which each image will have to be individually requested, kind'a like the good old days at 9600 baud.

Relates to this thread as to a blocked user's avatar?

That is only because some people don't understand the Oath they take. AND that for some reason the Constitution is no longer taught to our successors. Admittedly I am no scholar on the matter but I do at least try and find the right answer before I make a judgment.

Edit sorry missed the last paragraph but you are smart fellows I think you can figure it out.

Painting with a broad brush is frowned upon here......;)

the highest elected peace officer in each of NC's counties do not take an oath to defend the constitution.

I, A. B., do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will execute the office of sheriff of __ countyto the best of my knowledge and ability, agreeably to law; and that I will not take, accept or
receive, directly or indirectly, any fee, gift, bribe, gratuity or reward whatsoever, for returning
any man to serve as a juror or for making any false return on any process to me directed; so
help me, God.

LE officer

I, A. B., do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will be alert and vigilant to enforce the
criminal laws of this State; that I will not be influenced in any matter on account of personal
bias or prejudice; that I will faithfully and impartially execute the duties of my office as a law
enforcement officer according to the best of my skill, abilities, and judgment; so help me, God.

Ahhh I see the issue. There is nothing about swearing to uphold the Federal Constitution, Especially the LEO one clearly mentions the state as if state law is superior. This is one reason that LEOs can and will and do violate peoples rights. If they had to swear to the Federal Constitution then as soon as they enforced an unconstitutional non-law they would be in violation of the oath and hopefully removed.

The several states are sovereign, or struggling to remain so in the face of base ignorance. The states and their sub-divisions commission enforcer cops. We get the government that we deserve - at all levels.
They don't see themselves as so or they wouldnt even bother nullifying unconstitutional laws by legislation. They would just disobey them as if they did not exist

That is neither how we do things here, nor how we recommend that others comport themselves.

See Forum Rule #15:
"....Even if you feel that a law is unconstitutional we do not break it, we repeal it or defeat it in the courts."

Repeal is a legislative process.

Nullify refers to an action by a juror in a trial, court case.

I suggested the states do it not anyone here. Unless someone is a secret state govornor that i'm not aware of. [emoji14] Far as I was aware that rule applies to forum members not to one of 50 state govornors and countless Senators none of whom likely read this forum nor care one iota what we say.

Very funny - not.

Re read: "....nor how we recommend that others comport themselves."

Yes the governors, senators, and other elected officials are quite aware of what we say here and are influenced (positively or negatively) by what we post.

Aaaah.... that explains a lot. Actually explains why the rule was added in the first place. Very well then. I'll not add infractions today. I'll get more enjoyment out of catching an LEO lying or trying to commit a crime. Copblock and Alex Jones will have a field day even if y'all won't [emoji14]

Wise choice. Maybe we should just step beyond that process next time.

Copblock has its place/purpose, we have ours. They are not the same.

ok..... that you'll have to explain. Isnt the typical advice to always carry a video camera? Isnt that copblocking? To be sure it isnt going and deliberately seeking to film cops but nonetheless it's certainly holding them accountable which is what Copblock is all about. Peaceful Streets on the other hand is another kettle of fish. Same idea but so hate filled they are not what we need at all.

See no need to explain anything further on this - you understand the differences quite well.

Returning to the regularly scheduled program = back on topic.

But... it would not be the first time that the "government, federal, state and local", chose not to enforce the laws of the land. Not that I'm condoning that.
