Concealed or Open Carry during hunting season

With hunting season here, do anyone carry a pistol during huning season in addition to the rifle or shotgun? I know a couple hunters who do this. How many are out there?

I open carry during hunting season, usually a Ruger single-six .22lr revolver on my hip for squirrel and rabbit.
