I just found out that I will be picking my daughter up tomorrow instead of Sunday. This will prevent me from attending the meet tomorrow, but I'm still in the for next one.

It was a good meet. Nice seeing you all there. Definitely a better turnout than last time. Can't wait for the one next Saturday. As ImJustMylan said while we were there, it'd be nice to set a meet where we all got some range time in. We'll have to talk more about that next time.

North Carolina OC flyers

Some of you mentioned you wanted some copies of the NC flyers. I'm willing to hand out 10 flyers per person at the next meet, but I need a head count so that I know how many flyers to bring. Anyone that wants a stack, please pm me on the forum.

So I was actually at Five Guys warming up the place before you all got there at 4pm. I had lunch there while OCing at about 1pm, but was on the way to the race track by 4pm. See you all this coming Saturday at 4pm.

I have been very reluctant to post this, but after thing long and hard about it, I feel I should. I absolutely do not want this to be taken the wrong way either....

I know I was late getting there, so I was not acclimated to the atmosphere you guys had already created, but the the vibe that was being put out was not a comfortable one. My wife even felt uncomfortable (and she is used to OC). I did notice that a few of the other patrons "seemed" to feel the same way. Then the loitering in front of the doors afterwards, I felt was kind of rude to the business that just accommodated us.

This only the "vibe" I felt, not sure why, I can't put a finger on it. Just thought I would bring it up since we are doing these meets to be "Ambassadors" for OC.

I agree a bit with Merc460 on this issue, but I was kind of in the same boat as he was. No, I didn't arrive late, however I was unable to hear most of the conversation from where I was seated so most of what I heard was out of context.

It seemed to me there was alot of 'what if' and 'what now' talk going on that made the point of the conversation seem a bit 'in your face'. As I said, what I heard was out of context so don't get offended if my observations are incorrect. We are trying to get rid of the 'gun nut' stereotype, so maybe we can find some other subjects to cover. (cars, sports, movies, places to travel) I'm not saying don't talk guns, just not two hours straight.

Also, if the weather is nice, let's eat outside.

Im all in for eating outside per the weather.

As far as our general conversation, I don't think there was basis to our conversation as I didn't think one was needed. We weren't there to be Gun Nuts we were there to exercise our 2nd Amendment rights and even inform some fellow patrons of our reasons behind the OC'ing.

We had one patron actually ask "Ok Im curious! why does everybody has a gun?" when I sat down... in which Aosailor responded

.....I just laughed and told her that its not the guns she can see she needs to be worried about. She seemed to be content with that answer.

lots of fun and was great to meet everybody lol see y'all next weekend!

She actually laughed and continued to eat. I would be willing to take feedback into future OC meets but this will be my last OC meet before I move to maryland and never be able to do this again.

I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY for any uncomfortable situations as again.. there was no real structure for the meet.
