West Michigan member ofStudents for Concealed Carry on Campusis interviewed regarding carrying concealed on campus at Grand Rapids Community College. Please hit attached poll:

http://www.mlive.com/grpress/news/index.ssf/2008/12/grand_rapids_an_armed.html

Michigan law prohibits CPL (CCW) license holders from carrying concealed in college classrooms, thereby limiting classroom carry to open carry by law. GRCC policy forbids students and non-LEO employees from carrying firearms on campus.

UPDATE: Here is a second poll location addressing the same issue:

http://www.thecollegiatelive.com/Poll.html

The second pollis even more important to hit. It had been overwhelmingly pro-carry until 2 days ago when someone must have opened a floodgate of opposition. Please vote!

thank you guys for picking this up.
for the record. I do not believe that it was a "flood" of opposition. I believe that they found another way to fill in the poll. http://answers.polldaddy.com/poll/1180063/
this site allows repeated votes. vote back arrow vote etc... I'm pretty sure that's what happened. it changed way too fast for it to be anything else.
give me some help here guys. I know it's not really "open carry" but every right regained is a step closer to the true observance of the Second.

Yes, that second poll (which is tied to the campus newspaper - not to the regional newspaper) really has some issues. The vote tally now reads:

yes 75% (3,081 votes)

no 19% (783 votes)

undecided 5% (219 votes)
