Benton county?

Does anyone have oc experience in Benton county yet? I have family there that is licensed, but wary of oc. I have seen the map of counties and their status on carrying but if anyone had first hand experience that would be great. Also, I am now an Oklahoma resident, but would like to oc while with family in rogers. Would I be considered "on a journey" being from out of state? Act 746 is so vague it could be a nasty loophole to get caught in.

Feel free to carry

I do not have any open carry experience in Benton County but I do know under Act 746 sec 5-73-120 anyone can carry with or without a permit.

Yes, you are on a journey because you are out of the county that you live.

You are not guaranteed that you will not be harassed by an uniformed officer if you open carry. Even in states that open carry is well established people are still harassed by leo's.

Carry as you are comfortable with but there isn't a law against open carrying with or without a permit unless you have intent to use it unlawfully then it's against the law.

If your relatives are nervous about open carrying do it in a little at a time. In time they will realize most people don't even notice or care.

If you do please post your experiences in
