Shades of a repeat of County Sheriff’s prior notification response in dealing with the alleged Parkland shooter...

According to 9 May’s CBS evening news, quote
5 months before a deadly shooting at a Colorado charter school, a letter about violence and bullying at the school, with information provided by an anonymous parent, was sent to its executive director, CBS News has learned. Unquote.

Verbal news blurb stated anonymous letter sent to the school administrator AND TO THE LOCAL SHERIFF stating the institution has wide substance use by students and uncontrolled bullying activities occur almost daily and students are exhibiting MH symptoms/issues and if these issue are taken in totality, the school was ripe for another Columbine type incident!

STEM administrators deny they received such a notification as well as flatly stated those accusations are libelous so they have initiated a lawsuit asking the courts to release confidential information of the sender so they can sue them for defamation.

Sheriff indicated he will do an internal investigation into the matter...[great thought ~ a crackle of hyenas investigation the hen house should work well like it did in Broward county after parkland!]

Why 3 days after the STEM school shooting is the newspeek media mentioning, quote

An armed security guard at a Colorado school may have mistakenly fired on sheriff's deputies and wounded a student amid a highly chaotic shooting rampage at the campus this week, authorities told ABC News on Thursday.
Investigators are probing the security guard's actions during the chaos that broke out Tuesday afternoon at the Highlands Ranch STEM School when two students allegedly opened fire on classmates, killing one student and injuring others, a law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation told ABC News. [sidebar it is now a chaotic shooting “rampage”???]

Grant Whitus, chief executive officer of Boss High Level Protection, told ABC News on Thursday that the guard was interviewed by investigators for about an hour following the shooting and was released. He declined to elaborate on what the guard told investigators.

He said the guard has not been interviewed since. Unquote

From the Denver Post, quote:

The security guard has retained an attorney, Robert Burk, who said, “I do not believe he caused any injury to anyone.” Burk added that he could not talk about any specific thing that happened during the school shooting.

In fact, Whitus said he was distressed that a man he considers a hero would be called into question. The security officer apprehended one of the suspects, and held them, Whitus said. Spurlock said during a news conference Tuesday that he believed a security guard at the school had restrained one of the two shooting suspects prior to deputies’ arrival. unquote

Three days after the event a self proclaimed hero comes forward ~ with his lawyer?

There is certainly a rapidly rotting smell emanating

Have you read or watched this on the news? One of the shooters is supposedly a "transgender" going from F to M ?!?
I have also seen where the lamestream is saying they aren't LWWs but these kids own social media postings have lambasted Trump and praised "Dumbo" so the media is still trying to confuse the issue.

Yes, yes indeed, again, the sum of all human experience and topics of inquiry, the answer to all questions, the explanation to every situation, a truth for all times and seasons, the rest of every story, and the post for each and every single cotton-pickin' thread:

Yes. It's all over the news. The replies to online news articles I've seen have not been predominantly liberal, but rather, have been calling for common-sense solutions, including pushing back against the inevitable calls for more gun control. Some of those replies mention arming teachers.

What are LWWs?

Oddly enough, I had to ask someone the same question recently Since9. An "LWW" is a Left Wing Wacko.
Being an "old duffer", I'm not always up on these "abbreviations" and I had to ask someone a couple of months ago the same question.

If you believe it's up to schools to teach morals, you're part of the problem.
Sportsmanship is based on moral principles. That is the last vestige of teaching morals in schools. When I was in public school morals were woven into everyday curriculum. And the PTA was active in the schools. Teachers were scrutinized by parents. Teachers answered to the parents.

After the fifties and starting in sixties teacher unions and the governments started pushing out the parents’ control over the schools ushering in progressive principles. And progressive principles exclude moral teaching. In other words, scrubbing the schools of Judeo-Christian principles that this country was founded on.

I’m not sure how to interpret your response except that it sounds like you are in the camp of believers that believe the government is your master. However, that doesn’t square with the second amendment.

You leave me confused.

Alas KBCraig, parents sure do not seem to be doing the job whatsoever, nor the religious entities which since9 apparently seems to believe should, nor are the youth organizations ~ Scouts - both boy or girl, 4H, FFA , ad nauseam...

Darn KBCraig...if you don't believe the teachers should be, and their caregivers do not seem to be, nor are the youth organizations...guess the youth are basically screwed on moral learning and are left on their own ~ huh!

I agree that you're confused, especially if you took my comment to meant that government is the master.

This newspeek blurb about a MA teacher who...
ABC Quote,
Surveillance cameras at Southbridge High School in southeast Massachusetts allegedly captured Alfred Purcell, a 57-year-old biology teacher at the school, as he removed a live round of 9 mm ammunition from his pocket, dropped it on the floor and quickly left the area, police said.

Police said he went back to the area about 10 minutes later and pretended to discover the ammunition. Footage showed him taking a picture of it with his cellphone and using his school-issued portable radio to request assistance.

Administrators and a school resource officer arrived soon after and placed the school on immediate lockdown. Purcell returned to his class while school officials investigated the incident.

Police took Purcell into custody after reviewing the surveillance footage. He allegedly told officers that he left the ammunition there to "prove to the school that they needed to get metal detectors." Unquote

As stated, if parents/caregivers can’t and schools and youth organizations lack the capability it would appear our youth are truly screwed as there isn’t any type of instruction or role models or mentors to provide them morals.

Oh wait, the youth can get it from their social media and internet connects !

We home schooled for years, even taking advantage of a local home schooling social group. My son was and is highly social, however. He wanted and needed daily interaction with other kids, so we relented.

Glad since9 you and your partner completely abrogated both of your parental oversight obligations to your offspring!

"Based on your writing skills I'm glad you relented." - Color of Law

I'm beginning to think Eye95 was right. Welcome to the land of ignore, Color of Law.

Any other anti-social jerks out there want to go on ignore? By all means, speak up.
