It's lasted more than four hours so far. Is that bad?
No one seems to have burnt their barrel out, though I've heard that some of the new super magnums can be really punishing.

Wanna see more pink? Casey has the answer - yes it is legal.

Folks, I'm dying here X-D

Maybe this gets deleted by a mod. But, it was too good to pass up. Its from RustyYoungMan in another thread:

SNIP...In short: I like leather, and I like hot wax.

The part about "in short" kinda contradicts something he tried to imply earlier in this thread. Something about "full size", if I recall.

:p:)

The quote above comes from post #13 at: http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/s...ormal-and-work-holsters-or-on-for-everything&

Seems Citizen is trying to imply I've been caught red-handed lying... or is it lying red-handed?

I'm a big fan of leather, and my favorite position is 6 'o clock. But I'm all for experimenting with kydex and different positions.

Or, if you prefer...

Rule of gun is; kydex at 2 'o clock, hybrid at 4, and leather anytime anywhere.

Nope. You're just one of the lucky ones that has the ability to go on for hours.
I can usually only go for about 3-3.5 hours, which is when I've exhausted my ammo. Just remember that the longer you go, the more tired/sore you will be later. But it's the good kind of tired/sore.:p

My thoughts exactly. Pretty hard to go wrong with some nice leather.
2 'o clock and 4 'o clock, eh? Nothing at 3 'o clock?:p

There once was a poster on OCDO
Who thought he didn't have a foe.
Still he couldn't whine
When there came a time
He was banned though.

Kydex and other plastics are sooo cold.

Leather (a natural skin) is much warmer and personally distinctive - each one is unique.

Leather may crack and sag with age, but is most supple and form fitting when newer and kept in good shape.

There are those who say that hybrids (plastic inserts) serve a positive benefit otherwise not sustainable.

So, I have a choice of covering it with natural or synthetic materials?

Which one will keep it cleaner?

Some work better with water based coating while others work better with oils.

I didn't think dryness was recommended for a pleasurable shooting experience. Perhaps that's why I'm not a fan of plastic. ;)

Topical but firearms specific... read this the other day and thought it was great:
It's not the motion of the ocean or the size of the boat, but whether the captain can keep it in port long enough for everyone to get off.

Hang on a second.

How did we get nautical?

What if my "gang plank" isn't long enough to reach the dock?

If I come up short on longitude, do I, under your standard, still have the latitude to make it into port?

Should I "drop anchor" in any friendly port? Or, wait for the warmth and comfort of my "home port?"

(Of course, this lends a whole new meaning to "the cut of his jib.")

If you fall in you may need a personal floatation device...

 Hey, battleships are always OC ... ok, maybe "carry" is a bit of a stretch, but they certainly aren't afraid to show their guns.

Then you may want to offer your passengers a helping hand.

If I come up short on longitude, do I, under your standard, still have the latitude to make it into port?

If you lack longitude, then I hope you have latitude to spare.

Should I "drop anchor" in any friendly port? Or, wait for the warmth and comfort of my "home port?"

If you have joint ownership, a home port is recommended or your jib may be cut by a dissatisfied partner.
