Employee. The owner's name is John IIRC.Okay, so Grabowski is the owner? Or another employee?

FYI Eric was in favor of mandatory training before he became a trainer. Do not lump him in with those special interest groups. It was always something he was in favor of...
It's a topic I've always been on the fence about and I understand his reasons. Please realize that the majority of Wisconsinites aren't as well educated on the law as some of those here and on arfcom. Those are the people that really need training.
Graboid.
I would be that employee of shooters. As of last Monday I no longer work there. Eric Grabowski is the Manager of Shooters and Kevin Neugent is the owner.

As a friend you should suggest to him that he not make statements to the media regarding Constitutional Carry being unsafe to the general public and the carrier unless he truly means it. If he means it then he should not be surprised when these kind of statements are met with strong objection by those of us actively fighting to maintain the integrity of our Civil Liberty to Bear Arms.....FYI Eric was in favor of mandatory training before he became a trainer. Do not lump him in with those special interest groups. ..

Eric is a personal friend of mine and a fantastic person. The owner is something else and most if not all of the policies that people dislike about Shooters were his doing.

It was always something he was in favor of and we've had many discussions on this topic. It's a topic I've always been on the fence about and I understand his reasons. That he had a poor opinion prior to becoming more educated on a subject and that he retained that poor opinion only makes his stance less virtuous.
No one will argue that training is bad. Comments such as this hint that some feel training is bad or otherwise not needed. That is incorrect. The difference is that people like Eric (and possibly you... on the fence) believe the Government should mandate training rather than allowing free people to exercise personal responsibility.
That of course is a separate issue from the inflammatory verbiage used by Eric. When someone uses rhetoric such as that, and that person is perceived to be an "insider" or member of the same community about which they speak, in my opinion it compounds the damage that those words do. Reminds me of Jim Zumbo's idiotic statements about black rifles.
Committee suspends training requirement for concealed weapons
I am a certified NRA instructor. The NRA teaches that training demand will go up in proportion to the right being exercised going up. This means the more people who carry, and have easy access to carry; the more opportunity for training. So the less restrictions the more you make as a trainer ... and they are right! Sure I want to make some money as a trainer ... I made the investment in time and education I should make some money on my investment. BUT I will never support mandatory training. If I do my job as not only an instructor but as a gun owner then every person I meet should decide to learn more. Heck I pay to go to classes to learn more. NRA classes=check, AACFI=yep, massad ayoob=oh yeah .... learn, learn and keep learning ... then practice twice as much!
I have never met an NRA or AACFI trainer who was in it just for the money. Your mileage shouldn't vary!
