Started off my OC day at Golden Corral on Providence Rd.

The biscuits could have been substituted for the granite rocks used in curling...

Had
complete eye exam at Dr. Scott Bailey's Midlothian office. New prescriptions - my cataracts are progressing.

Went to DMV off of Johnston Wllis Dr. to take care of some business. No, I didn't not bring my friend inside.

OCd at IHOP's next to VSP Hdqrs on Midlothian for a late breakfast. One mild case of stink eye, but they turned their head when I met their stare.
Got double the ration of crispy bacon and a welcome back from my server.

Restocked the vittles from home use at Kroger and filled up the RAM at pumps where Cloverleaf shopping center used to be.

Had two OC breakfasts. First at Burger King the second at Hardee's on Jeff Davis at Wamsley.

it pays me (literally) to eat at that Hardee's. After a long drawn out conversation wherein I tried to get my order right, they simply gave me my meal and refunded all but $0.59 in cash.

Taking a break from the same ol' routine and retreating into the mansions of my mind, I had two coddled eggs and chocolate Coco Puffs for breakfast at home - OC of course.

Several of us enjoyed a pleasant OC breakfast at Nick's Roman Terrace. Many fond memories there.

Easter morning before the sun was high in the sky, I ventured out to Shoney's at Broad and Skipwith. Breakfast has never been better - everything was hot and fresh + the staff was accommodating as usual. Went to pay my bill and AuSnit! No wallet, no credit or debit cards and only a couple of stray dollars in cash. Confirmed via phone with DoubleTap that my billfold was still there. Fortunately my history with this venue is great - they said no problem, we'll settle up after you go get what you need. DoubleTap hinted that it would have been nice if they had comped the meal. Problem is I don't like to see mistakes or negligence rewarded - especially my own.

Knowing we were going to be at DoubleTap's mother's home for an early evening Easter meal, I went to KFC on Broad Street in Tuckernuck Square to tide me over. Never again will I grace them with my presence.

Had to order 3 times to get the food right, in accordance with the printed ticket. Original recipe was so hard that I had to break off a lot to eat it. Add to that that no employee was wearing plastic gloves. One even had a heavily bandaged hand. They handled food and packaging with the same lack of caring.

Before my order was taken, two Henrico officers came in picked up their food, nodded at my OC and went about their business.

OCd at the evening meal. Most of the extended family understands and accepts OC/right to self defense. Nice as she is, there is one who may never really get it.

Eschewing regular breakfast fare. Fixing egg salad with Easter eggs.

Will be in line for free pizza at little Caesar's a bit before 11:30. UVA B-ball always seems to falter down the stretch - they seem to have a tradition.

Since it was warm Saturday

I was in OC mode rather than my casual OC/CC mode and got noticed in Weggman's. "It is good to see someone open carrying". The gent who saw it (fellow shopper) was CC and said so. Sad that it seemed unusual. Never had any issues at Weggman's. Looking forward to warmer weather so I do not need a jacket.

Had dinner at Golden Corral on Providence Rd - IMHO they are declining.

Was approached by another customer who inquired about my purdy 1911.

Also chatted with a Chesterfield PD officer outside for a while who had zero problem with my OCing.

Made the last Easter egg into scrumptious deviled egg sandwich for breakfast.

Ventured out to Capt D's on Jeff Davis for dinner where i was rewarded with double my order of coconut encrusted shrimp. The cook likes seeing me and my purdy .45acp. He always comes out to chat.

Had late breakfast at Hardee's on Jeff Davis where another customer seeing my OCd 1911 asked if I was ready.

Have to wonder - "ready" for what?

Picked up my new glasses while OCing from Dr. Scott Bailey at 5919 Harbour Lane in Midlothian. Can't recommend him enough.

Wanted to celebrate with a McFlurry. The machine was down at the 1st McD's where the female server threw her arms up in mock surrender :uhoh:
PLEASE do NOT do that - you could get someone hurt.

Went to a 2nd McD's near Rockwood. Got my McFlurry and a thumbs up from other customer.

Taking my new eyes and ears to Burger King on Jeff Davis for my first breakfast.

After your new eyes see what your actually eating...this should be interesting to say the least!

And folks won’t be able to talk behind your back any more...darn!

Before I left BK 2 Richmond PD officers came inside - they did not finch or bat an eye at my OCing.

A customer (Viet Nam vet) came back in to inquire as to what caliber handgun I was carrying. When I told him .45 cal, he broke out a smile that Ajax wouldn't wash off.

Went across the street to Hardee's (for my second breakfast) where I enjoyed biscuits-n-gravy.

Went to Chick-Fil-A on W. Hundred Rd. next to Chesterfield PD station for CFA's new mini breakfast. Was really quite good.

Place was crawling with LEOs - not one raised eyebrow at my OC.
