"There is no doubt in my mind that millions of lives could have been saved if the people were not "brainwashed" about gun ownership and had been well armed. ... Gun haters always want to forget the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, which is a perfect example of how a ragtag, half-starved group of Jews took 10 handguns and made asses out of the Nazis."

-Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

That is one STRONG example to list.

Semantics. Were they actually trying to sabotage the case, or were they trying to prevent it from being heard because they believe it would have been lost?

Stare decisis can be a bear.

A very good question and the reference to your question is the Parker case which was not heard by the SCOTUS. Of the six original plantiffs only Heller made it all the way due to the others (including Parker) were ruled not to have standing. I imagine that this was the point that the NRA was after that they wanted a "bullet Proof" case to go forward rather than one that had too many holes. This wound up as the correct case as Heller had juped through all the hoops and was still denied. If one of the other cases had gone forward and been rejected it would have been a huge setback. Equating Parker to Heller is not correct but I have no knowlege if the NRA worked for or against Heller in the beginning. However I am glad it was Heller that went forward rather than Parker or one of the other four.

I was a member for two years. Haven't been a member in the last 18 years, but since I've kept good tabs on them, I can honestly say that was money very well not spent!

I used the funds to support Compassion kids, and now have four "graduates" with two still in the pipeline.
