Hey Everyone,

I am new to this forum and wondering if you all are aware of any OC events in the Walla Walla area?

If not, are there any members in the area that would like to put together a lunch get together?

Thanks.

Locals may chime in shortly, meanwhile I am still looking for a response to post #2 on the following thread. It has to do with credibility.

http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/showthread.php?136540-The-most-OC-supportive-business-I-have-found

Well I would suggest that you not hold your breath. I am a five hour drive from Everett and probably will not be making the drive to satisfy your curiosity.

You are most welcome to stop by and check it out yourself.

Have a good evening.

Not holding my breath and ...happily post a pic...seems at best inconsistent.

That and providing a corporate link instead of a specific address would seem to deliberately obfuscate the problem.
Until proven otherwise, I sincerely doubt such a sign or policy exists.

FYI - called decisions carry the same weight as Forum Rules.

Think you have earned the right to a time out.

And then,,, after being asked, he posted a link to the place, and when followed
showed the bus company website,,, and it's Address!!

Sooo I think you have gone overboard by Banning him!

He has struck me as just the kind of thoughtful, polite and well wrote kind of member this forum needs.
Don't push him away while he is just getting settled in and learning his way around.

Seems as though I have touched a nerve.

Reminds me of two stalwart members who claimed to have attended an election rally inside the security perimeter while armed. Didn't happen but they insisted it did for a while - even had friends defending them. The two gentlemen lost credibility and were some time regaining any of it, even after having moved to another state.

The information provided (Address): 2407 Gibson Rd, Everett, WA 98204; Phone: (425) 953-2820 does NOT contain verification of said sign or policy.
I have taken the liberty of contacting Bryson direct by email. Tried via phone first but detail lost because of my medical condition. I will let you know what comes of this.

Any temporary (very short term) time out will have past before this is resolved.

A gun sign is visible in the Street View image he posted, just zoom in. Can't read the words but someone might be able to deduce them from the general shape or enhance them with the right software. There's a white pistol shape inside a circle and the circle does not appear to have a slash through it.

BTW, I would love to see OCDO busier again. Lost a few prolific people. (Unlike me, I'm never prolific.) Really a special forum over the years, and it seems to be picking up some steam again. But that can only happen if it's allowed. (Or desired.) Moderation is a good thing, but everything in moderation?

I see something different in that image. I see a red circle and possibly a slash through it.

I did run an independent Google Map street view on this, but it didn't help.

Do you mean moderate moderation or moderate moderately?

You can put me on that touched a nerve bandwagon as well. Way overboard response.

Myself also. Not sure if there's more going on behind the scenes but seems like an extreme overboard response. If you have proof of deception then that is one thing, but acting on gut feeling or accusation without proof seems wrong just because you suspect it. We have trouble getting new members here in Washington and forum has gone fairly cold.

This in combination with the harassment a lot of people get when asking questions or having conversations and leading to many of us having a certain member on our ignore lists, and new members being openly discouraged from posting by such member jumping down their throats (and the mods defending said member) seems to me to by why this state sub forum has really gone silent in the last year compared to years past.
I was even "warned" for having a signature that supposedly had "colored text" when in reality its a hyperlink and finally the mod warning me realized their mistake.

I personally put in a lot of time in the 2A community organizing legislative and state political education, outreach and organizing. Right now OCDO is not an effective tool for this and we need to be more welcoming and friendly if we're going to achieve that.

This fall we are likely facing an AWB initiative and state legislative races that can determine the fate of gun rights here. It might be easy in midwestern or southern states to get people interested in gun issues but its difficult here in WA with the social pressure and Seattle area dominating state politics. We don't need to make it any harder.

Thank God we're protected from newbies!

But seriously I would want to welcome newbies. I don't see any possible benefit to OC or 2A from reducing membership and traffic. Is there?

What I do know is we are facing big new challenges and if we desire to win (retain our rights) we probably need to grow our numbers - OCDO and the gun community in general - and stick together. If newbies look like the biggest threat, I'd say take a hard look at the situation.

I still wonder what that sign says. The circle looks red but I don't see a slash.

How to start, oh let’s see Alpine this is the same whine you put out last year at this time, http://vb.opencarry.org/forums/showthread.php?135156-Where-are-the-Washingtonians

first your disparaging comment(s) regarding this forum continue from the first sentence down shows your contempt and scorn for the forum.

second is your comment regarding your lobbying efforts currently does not lend itself to those who would OC in the evergreen state.

Third your sky is falling as “likely facing” is a constant mantra espoused in VA, OR, WV, oh and a myriad of other states in this union!

To step up, was it I who failed to renew WA’s gun domains, oh i know for a fact I chased MSG and Bill out of the state and nobody stepped up to catch the baton now did you?

nawlll, now, as I stated in May of last year to your continual banal whine:

then and only then would i not need nor have any type interest in your asinine rhetoric ~ 'oh i polled and there are eight who have just put him on ignore and shake their heads at the damage he has caused...damage done...well, guess they haven't been out here showing their mettle to rectify said damage have they?

damage done...truly this gentleman caused damage...pray tell...after the event 594 rallys were a bit of a 'day late and dollar short' weren't they, the 1494 initiators didn't even break a sweat as there was absolutely no push back.whatsoever was there?

as for the firearm tax... ya alpine you have me there...wasn't king county that initiated the tax but rather the government in king county's county seat...noticed not one iota of a big push from anyone there or from east of the mountains, or...you know guess i missed any push in its entirety since it appears the mentality is it is happened 'there' and not in my back yard community.

that you and other members fail to appreciate the candor...then feel free to jump in and participate with your point of view of overcoming the current state of affairs, as golddigger pointed out there isn't any!!

please advise alpine, from Mercer what have you done for the western, oh h3ll's bells, any part of the state for OC'g, CC'g, or to mitigate any of the ludicrous statutes going on in the state?

i know of four kind souls who have left the state and yet do not ping with any kind of guidance whatsoever to provide their expertise to their home stomping grounds...

i do know...a nationally promoted forum, even if members are perceived as idiots, at least gets the country to note, acknowledge, and possibly recognize the short comings of the evergreen's firearm issues and quite possibly provide a methodology to come up with new ways to fight the injustices instead of grumbling and taking pot shots at passer-bys as you sit 'always' doing it our way ~ which hasn’t work in the least nor just sit there doing nothing at all.

MSG L, this post's commentary is not directed at you as your exemplary results shown and have achieved in your area ~ your efforts are noted truly appreciated and you and those who work with you should be proud of your accomplishments and achievements.

so alpine, et al., should this crusader give up on the evergreen state based on your singular concept ~ Washingtonians can do this alone, if so you are failing miserably!

Have contacted a highly placed manager (not identified here) who has not confirmed ANY Bluebird facility as having any signs or attitudes that have been described by the OP.

When and if such is confirmed, either this thread will be unlocked or a new one started.

Meanwhile, follow the Forum Rules, including called decisions. Check them frequently as they are subject to change.

[qoute]The OP made definitive statements not confirmed - that is hardly a "gut feeling,"

I was even "warned" for having a signature that supposedly had "colored text" when in reality its a hyperlink and finally the mod warning me realized their mistake.
hyperlinks in color are a violation in signature blocks. Include them in the body of your context as often as you please.
