Open carry position

I have just turned 21 and purchased my first handgun (a Walther PPQ) and would like to carry open carry in a shoulder holster. However when i look at the laws for Wichita it says in a holster and on the hip. Am I right in thinking this means open carrying in a shoulder holster would be breaking the law?

Shoulder holster carry

I myself don't live in Wichita, but I have always carried a gun on my right hip. I purposely just don't like the idea of shoulder-carry.
