Earlier this year I posted that a company had submitted plans to the city for a shooting range near Paseo and Coors and it never materialized. (http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/s...ing-re-NEW-indoor-shooting-range-on-West-Side )

In today’s Albuquerque Journal, Calibers announced they have closed their location at Paseo and San Pedro NE and are opening their new West side retail store in the old Wendy’s and adjacent gas station at 9320 Coors NW and will build an indoor range that they plan to open next spring. This is great news for those of us on the West side!

Calibers, a local gun store and shooting range, has closed its location at Paseo del Norte and San Pedro in preparation for a new West Side site.
Calibers is remodeling a former gas station/convenience store/fast food restaurant site at 9320 Coors NW, north of Paseo del Norte. Its new retail store is set to open there later this month.
A shooting range will be added in the coming months and should be ready by next spring, according to Calibers CEO Ryan Burt.
Burt said Calibers made the move for several reasons, but mostly because it wanted a second location that better reflected the updated Calibers mold established at the company’s other location, a more modern facility at 4340 Cutler NE.
“The technology and feel of our organization had really moved past the old (Paseo del Norte/San Pedro) location,” Burt said of the site Calibers had been in for about 15 years.
Cole Flanagan of NAI Maestas & Ward advised Calibers on its new site — a location Burt said also will allow the company to better serve its West Side clientele during the upcoming Paseo del Norte/Interstate 25 construction project.”
