The Enfield is a great rifle, I own one.... Light recoil, good accuracy, smooth bolt.

Does this friend of yours ever do gun stories on HuffPo? I stopped reading when they brought in "mike the gun guy" the reporter who owns guns! but never seems to support any pro gun rights legislation and thinks gun owners are the bane of society... Maybe be you're friend can be a replacement...

He's definately not your normal HuffPo writer, but hasn't touched much on guns, spent the last several hrs with him and he didn't plan on writing about this, but after the experience may. HuffPo publishes some of his articles, I think its more of a freelance thing.

Great OC week!

Nice weather so lots of bike riding.

Lots of positive encounters with people giving me thumbs up while OC on the bike.

For those of you who don't know Bike culture bikers wave at other bikers. Motorcycle cops don't seem to ever engage in this. I always extend the courtesy even though it is rarely returned. Had a cop on a bike wave today and even cruise with me for a while on Hannigan. Had a guy in Lowe's today say "Oh an OC advocate, I get lots of calls on you". He was a cop he supports OC and likes the new training John and I helped write that not only informed cops but 911 operators what to do. He said they felt before obligated to show up and that it was a waste of resources if the person wasn't doing anything illegal. I invited him to the OC picnic on the twelfth. He also recognized OC is becoming more normal.

Had two random encounters in a bad neighborhood where people told me they were glad someone was packing.

Almost five hundred miles last Tuesday on the bike, but unfortunately it was in Canada where I am not allowed to OC.

I also wear a leather vest with my club colors so it usually covers the gun when riding. The one drawback to wearing colors. (Well, the other one is that a leather vest is hotter than h3ll in really warm weather, but that's another story.

Whatcom County is, as usual, very uneventful thanks to the efforts of the guys who fought the good fight over the past few years. I've been lucky. I've never been confronted by LE and never had to deal with what they did. Thanks again.

PS Think they'll come out this year to check on our "dogs" while in the park/

Are y'all coming back out to bellingham pride again this year? It's going to be on the 13th the day after your picnic.

Hehehe, no we didn't go all Bundy Ranch on them.

We did bring food to the deputies working the boating area though.
That is great public relations.

When OC finally came to Virginia Parks a few years back, we feed every ranger that came by to check us out + cold drinks.

About 1245 today there was a call on the B'ham scanner about a man making a threat with a gun. Quote was "you wanna die" and he ran away. He is fleeing east on sunset and seen brandishing again with a black semi auto pistol w/ silver slide.

Be careful out there today folks. People are a bit edgy.

Saw someone OC today (younger guy) at the corner of Maplewood and Bakerview, heading west. Handed what looked like a business and or informational card to a seemingly random passerby on foot as well. Made me wonder if it was OC info?

I was in a hurry late to school (BTC) so when my light turned green I had to run and didn't notice much else.

If it's a member here, I seen you! :)
