Out of curiosity, is there a goal for this event, or is it more of a meet and greet? I OC around central Ohio daily and have not had any issues, has something happened in Grove City that I missed in the news?
Mostly this walk will be for the benifit of the people in the area. To be honest, I have never seen anyone in central ohio open carry, those I ask don't even know what the term "open carry" means. It's my guess many assume it's against the law, or if they know it's not against the law, they lack the courage to be the first in the water for fear the water will get hot and burn them. I can only point out how much easyer it was for me in Youngstown to open carry because there were others doing it. That means alot, and it is my hope that will be the case of others.
You can tell someone something is legal, but actually showing them it's legal, really goes futher to make an impact. the goals, to make that impact, to have fun doing so, to test the waters and see if in fact there would be any issues, to celebrate our freedom. If Grove City turns out to be as accepting to open carry as Youngstown was, I might just do this every day to the point where those would be used to seeing me with my sidearm. Or sidearms, when/if I find holsters for the pair.
