Writ of Mandamus or Rule80b?

Would drilling a complaint against not having a permit issued fall under writ of mandamus or rule 80b? 60 days is coming up in a couple of weeks i want to be ready. Also who would i would i file through?

I think rule 80b basically IS a writ of mandamus in Maine. I have no idea how to file one yourself, finding a lawyer is gonna be your best bet. You could also try talking to a district court clerk. They may be able to point you in the right direction.

Thanks boyscout i know they are basically the same, i can't figure out the difference. Hopefully if i don't get issued my permit inn 60 days i can start the process on speeding up everyone's wait time.

Eta: I've been told by a fellow Orono-er that our chief doesn't follow statute

Finding a lawyer is out of the question. Ill just OC and deal with unloading in the car. If i can file pro-se i will. I'm willing to push as far as money will allow.
