All I can say, is... OUTSTANDING!!!

Outstanding teamwork on the part of the armed citizens. Sure, they could have shot the thieves dead, but aren't you glad they didn't? Smart customers. :)

Wimpy title, though: "Men attempting to steal tools find themselves surrounded by customers with guns." I like my title better.

Since9, you should be aware ‘facts’ surrounding the Marysville WA incident, as reported by your august Colorado newspeek media outlet, seems a common error as that is how Q13 reported the incident, but...the newspeek morphed their shock and awe from the original LE report as outlined here:

Marysville WA twitter feed 22 Dec: https://mobile.twitter.com/MarysvilleWAPD

Read the whole story begining 24 Dec at

1. Three pages of posts here at NWAGuns.org https://www.waguns.org/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=96812

2. Sx pages of posts [108] here at northwest firearm, https://www.northwestfirearms.com/t...out-of-suspected-shoplifter’s-vehicle.286477/

3. My favorite site OCarry forum right

4. Oh ya defensive carry, https://www.defensivecarry.com/foru...hieves-quickly-surrounded-armed-citizens.html oh imagine that, same title you started with the same cut and paste verbage and reading that thread your initial comments are getting slammed.

Bottom line since9, tis olde news already sliced and diced across the nation’s forum, shooters wanted by the police, and first and foremost...its a duplicate thread out here in open carry land.

Anytime citizens do the cops job because the cops are never there when things happen, fellow gun owners usually throw them under the bus and LE starts trying to find something to charge them with.
How dare the lowly citizen take it upon themselves to prevent a crime just because LE seldom is anywhere around.

Whether or not self-defense results in one's criminalization depends on one's locale, not to mention half a dozen other factors. We've certainly all read the horror stories.

Since I moved here nearly a decade ago, however, there have been a number of justified shootings where the D.A. has informed the news within hours to a few days, "No charges will be filed."

In some areas, things are very pro-2A. In other areas, things can really stink.

We need a little mod intervention. Or better yet, we need a moderator.

Let's see...feeling some difficulty getting along with peaceable fellow citizens unless forced to do so...begging for more authority and chafing under the individual responsibility of greater freedom and self-management...Yes, THAT'S the kind of people who can keep a Republic! Our forefathers would be so proud! :ROFLMAO:

We still have a good admin and I think people have been policing themselves pretty well. GS trained us well.

Don't worry, the cops will be there soon after to find out how you died or how much was stolen, maybe. If you prevent a crime, you grab the bread from a detective's table! And you inconvenience a criminal who is just trying to get by! Plus you are doing something normally reserved for VIPs and not respecting their guvprivelege. That's not very thoughtful, is it? Causing all that trouble.

Actually, the other day was LE Appreciation Day, and they should know we do appreciate them - as long as they are the ones who don't get friend/foe mixed up, avoid corruption/privilege, and abide by the Constitution. To the good LEs who understand those principles, thank you for your service!

And do you have any experience as a message forum moderator?

Ya know since9 I would be truly embarrassed to publicly brag about your years of exemplary BB moderation skills, all the while in the very state you reside in has a 2A forum [ http://www.cogunowners.com/index.php ] which appears to be hacked, desecrated, and abandoned by its members and administrator(s).

Why is that since9?

Excellent point. I err on the side of the Constitution. If local law enforcement feels the same way, we'll get along just fine.
