Where can I find this? my google foo is weak.
An establishment licensed under the Michigan liquor control act, Act No. 8 of the Public Acts of the Extra Session of 1933, being sections 436.1 to 436.58 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.
I want to read the actual wording to see that OC without a CPL is illegal.

Well,,,

hmmm, ok, how about where in the law where it says you cannot OC in a business that has a liquor license like Meijers without a cpl?

the list of places in 425o, where you can not carry a concealed gun
is very much like the list on the back of the CPL, where you can not carry a concealed gun
the list in 234d is very much like the lists in 425o and the CPL, but
234d is the Pistol Free Zones, but
234d also has an exemption that says, PFZs do not apply to CPL holders!

Sooo the smart guys in Michigan figured out that,
With a CPL you are legal to OC in most of those listed places,.
I believe that OC with a CPL is even legal at schools!!!

His point was that MCL 436.1 - MCL 436.58 don't exist anymore, and haven't since 1998 when it was repealed and replaced with the modern MLCC codified laws.

http://www.legislature.mi.gov/documents/mcl/pdf/mcl-Act-58-of-1998.pdf

Very last page of the new Liquor law says:

(5) A reference in any other law to the Michigan liquor control act, 1933 (Ex Sess) PA 8, being MCL
436.1 to 436.58, is considered to be a reference to this act

So when you are reading our 750.234d and it says:
(h) An establishment licensed under the Michigan liquor control act, Act No. 8 of the Public Acts of the Extra Session of 1933, being sections 436.1 to 436.58 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.

It ACTUALLY, legally, reads:
(h) An establishment licensed under the Michigan liquor control act, Act No. 58 of 1988, being sections 436.1101 to 436.2303 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.

Also, in the future, instead of Google you can search the entirety of the MCLs on the books HERE,
Directly from the horse's mouth, as they say.
