I had to drop off my wife in Seattle. I just left and GPS says 1 hour and 40 mins, so that puts me in around 10:10.

Special thanks to Slap for making the trip.
Perhaps, the B-ham boys will carpool to Monroe for one of your meets.

They seem to like us at Starbucks. Free shots for our table.

1st LGOC

OC Cost Cutters, Blaine
Banner Bank, Blaine. Than I tried something different, LGOC at Semiahmoo Park.
Had a good conversation with a couple of old guys. LGOC is cool.
I could get used to it.

Up in Bellingham for some work related stuff....

Downtown Bellingham: Starbucks on Holly, crowded very noisy...had to park down the street a ways and backtrack, passed a border patrol officer that was "standing" by on the corner by the bank both ways. It was a little odd. He was just standing there and watching folks....gave him a nod, he said nothing.

On the water front at Kuru/Kuru. Decent sushi

I got a message about that this morning from Calif. They are planning an LGOC event. They are saying that Moonbeam has forced them to carry long now that HGs are banned OC.

Had a trip planned to Vancouver B.C.
Cleaned out the truck of any firearm stuff. "Team Glock" hat off the dashboard,
removed lock box.
Got ushered into secondary inspection.
"Is there anything I need to know about"
CBP came back in, "Hands against the wall, spread 'em".
"Where's the gun".
I did not bring a gun with me.
"We found a pistol mag in your glove box".
I lost all color in my face.
I must have said the right thing and was very apologetic.
CBP loosened up, slightly less tense, and proceeded with a half hour
lecture on what would happen to me if they found a firearm.
"There are two options. 1st, I could confiscate your mag, impound your truck.
Kick you out of Canada and forever ban you. Or, you can agree to turn around and
head for the States. I will give you back your mag and license when your at the border.
And never bring firearm paraphernalia into Canada again".

Too bad they roughed you up...........I have no reason to go to Canada either....I have friends that go there to hunt Moose...I'll spend my money in Alaska.

This is why, when we go to Canada, we take my wife's car. It's totally "sterile" when it comes to firearms. Only guns that have ever been in the car have been attached to my belt. No loose bullets, mags, or even stickers on the window.
