When carrying what do you do if you are going somewhere where you know you can not OC or know you will be approached?
Post office, Casino, etc.
Do you not carry or disarm and leave your gun someplace, (example; in car) or leave home?

If I have to go to the post office I dont park in the lot. I park on the street. And in the lock box it goes. Other places I just dont go unless I have to. Casinos for instance. But since we are a tourist town and we do have people visit us from time to time I CC in places like that. Its why I have my CCW. I try not to spend my cash at anti places. Sometimes it is unavoidable though. We havemade great strides in getting many biz places to not bat a eye at us OC.

Post Offices and most casinos I conceal. But it is rare I have to go inside anyway. VA and BLM (and other federal facilities) offices, I leave it in the vehicle.

Yes, I am aware of the regulation I am breaking by concealing in the Post Office. It is the exact same one I am breaking by having my dog in the truck in their parking lot.

I guess I will continue to just disarm and lock in the car until I get my CCW.
The wife and I went to the range today to practice CCW qualifying.
My 9mm target had the same type results. Forgot to get a pic.
These pics are with .22 handguns.

For me locked up when illegal, concealed when someone's rule. I did not know possessing a firearm in a federal facility carried the same punishment as leveling a dog in a vehicle.

A Post Office is not a "federal facility." That's why there is a distinction between what I do at the VA and other federal facilities, and what I will risk at a Post Office.

I wish Nevada would recognize Texas permits. Wife has never been to Vegas.

This is pretty much what I do.

When possession violates a law, I don't carry. With one notable exception that is my House of Worship, I do my level best to avoid locations where I can't legally carry.

When it is just someone's private rule, I generally conceal. Such rules are fairly rare in Utah, fortunately.

The one exception is my place of employment. Losing my job "for cause" is too high a price to pay, with too much risk of being discovered considering how many hours I spend here each day/week/year to violate this rule. Utah's "Parking Lot Preemption" law (and my employer's policy that comports with that law) allows me to keep the gun secured in my car in the company parking lot so I have it for the daily commute, lunches away from the office, etc.

oh, mate, please do not forget you bragged on this very public forum you sloppily attempt to conceal in costco even tho their policies explicitly state no firearms...

oh, and ignore private enterprises' policies cuz you can ~ yes yes yes...i know your mantra...UTAH's signage does not have the weight of law.

hate for you to misrepresent your carry behavior to forum members.
