What types of holsters are illegal for OWB? How much of the holster/gun must be visible? Is a inside the pants legal? Thanks in advance, I'm a new member of this forum.

This question would be better placed in the NC forum.

As to your question, any holster is legal to the best of my knowledge. A string, as in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, Eli Wallach character, may be legal in NC, but ill advised. Tucked in the back of your trousers is legal if CC is your preference.

welcome to the the forum?

to gain a bit of clarification to assist in discussion, why would you believe/feel any specific holster would be 'illegal' while carrying a firearm?

further, where did this tidbit of information, e.g.' LE, acquaintance, CHP instructor, another site, etc., which led to you believing/feeling any specific holster would be 'forbidden by law' in the state of NC?

are you concerned your holster might be 'illegal' when you open carry (OC) or when you conceal carry CC in the tarheel state?

again welcome
