Squeak says May 19, 20, 21.

We considered attending this year but we haven't met any of you folk and my wife was concerned (rightfully, I thought) about attending a camp out with unknown people possibly drinking to excess while carrying. There also doesn't seem to be much after talk from the folk who attended this year. Did y'all enjoy the camp out or wish you hadn't wasted the time or not or what?

I was my FIRST year attending/meeting these folks as I am from UTAH. It was a good meet. There was NO drinking to excess. All attendees I observed were very well behaved, friendly, and law abiding individuals who were great ambassadors of OPEN CARRY.

I hope to go again next year but since the date planned at present includes my wife's birthday celebration (she does NOT camp) it is presently undecided if I will attend. I observed nothing with this group that would make me concerned.

I have attended for the last five years, I have witnessed excessive quantities of really really good food being consumed. There is alcohol present but not consumed in excess, may of the attendees do not consume alcohol at all. It seems odd to me that you and your wife would automatically equate camping, more like RVing, with excessive alcohol consumption.

Please come next year and enjoy the experience without the preconceived notions.

We have excess fun! The camp hosts love our presence, and practically roll out the red carpet. Last year there was a big deer just on the other side of the fence. Heck we even have an attorney out there to represent us. :) We're safe/fun/passionate.
If you are on a diet....don't come!
Food, and more food. drool

zipp if you want a trial run come to one of our summer picnics.

Thank you. that would be great. We've been camping a lot and have frequently seen campers who seem to have too much of the liquid fun. I think it's a legitimate concern as we haven't, yet, met any of you (our fault - not yours). And thank you again to the others who responded and expressed the fun they had at the campout this summer. Very much appreciated and encouraging.

Welcome to OCDO, hope you enjoy your stay.
Yeppers, we are and act like adults. No worries, we police ourselves and attempt to be good ambassadors for Open Carry.
The camp was a bit weather stressed this year and the count was a bit down, but major amounts of fun occurred.

You just missed the Whatcom County Annual OC picnic. We had over a hundred folks and the food (there it is again) was great, as usual. The only way you can get to know us is to come spend time with us. We will be having a luncheon in August, stop by, eh?

Very glad to hear it.

Actually, I did not miss it. My comments on it are over in that thread. I did enjoy it. And, I agree. Where will the luncheon be held?
