havent been active on the forum in a while
not long ago I would pride myself in open carrying into my bank wells fargo
as they ALLOWED carrying concealed or open

The other day at the LOCUST NC I noticed a NO FIREARMS/WEAPONS sign!
what?? did they change their policy?
the monroe branch does not have the sign

is this branch manager acting her own will?
should we call corporate and raise a stink?

anyone clarify if something changed that I missed?

First I have heard of this.

Suggest you talk to the manager and go up the food chain as needed.

there was a posting a couple of weeks ago about some of the branch's having signs pop'g up then disappearing after corp was notified of the sign...

uh not sure who the 'we' is you have in your pocket...give'm a call and ask for the security section, if mem serves from the other post.

I seem to remember we had a Wells Fargo VP on here a couple of years ago explaining that WF is firearm friendly. That has not changed as far as I know. I do work for Wells Fargo but I work in the corporate offices in computer security and have nothing to do with bank branches.

I know I'm in Virginia so it may not be applicable, but I bank with Wells Fargo and have never had an issue. I'm always OC - even the day I opened my account. There's never been a word said, much less gunbuster signs up.

The predecessor to WF in NC was Wachovia who was very anti-gun. Soon after Well Fargo took over the signs began coming down.

Update

ok been busy with work but I made a call and got the "branch manager"
the way he was talking it was looking really bad
he says "they" as in the higher ups have been discussing this for a while and thought
that to make others feel more comfortable they would disallow weapons
I informed him that HIS branch was the ONLY one out of ALL the wells fargos I go into
he couldnt believe me , he said the sign came from corporate and it wasnt anyones "preference" to display it

so I contacted the "regional manager" Burt Burr he was super nice and helpful
He said well Im at the CHINA GROVE branch now hold on a second
he walked outside and said youre right there is no sign
he also said he was a ccw holder himself and understood where I was coming from

he was not sure what the deal was and said he would find out and contact me MONDAY

so all in all Im not sure whats up

the other guy seemed really sure they were disallowed
I sure hope not

any suggestions with this fight for my right to carry?

Wait a reasonable time for his response. If in our favor, ask him to correct the specific manager. If not favorable, then go another step up the corporate food chain.

Many of us would not deal with the old Wachovia, because of their anti stance. When Wells Fargo bought them, that position changed and they made the favorable list.

We will not go where we are made a victim waiting for a place to happen.

Note that LAC have better stats than do LEOs:

Time to advance up the food chain.

Wells Fargo policy is to my understanding to "follow/honor the laws of the state in which the office is located."

As an example that would make OC legal in Virginia.
