Oh, ho, ho. The ATF and Marshal's service joined in the hunt to capture the accused. Now, just where in the constitution are federal agents authorized to enforce state law by assisting in manhunts? Can't recall them helping hunt down common state criminals who didn't cross state lines.

While I don't like seeing a state cop shot and killed; the immediate aftermath of such situations do seem to demonstrate how government will go to great lengths to protect their own or capture those who harmed them versus an ordinary citizen.
