Have been there many times before but looking for the out of the way, not widely knows places to visit. Prior visits were touristy, beach time, festival type visits.

Looking for the hidden museum, dealers, just cool places to stop by and check out.

Any carry friendly places (can cover deep if necessary) down there?

as far as locals favorites to eat, Pungo Pizza, Margie & Rays, and Blue Pete's are all great and I have open carried at all of them without incident.

several outstanding museums that fall into tourist but are more than that: Portsmouth Children's museum, Virginia aquarium, Living museum in Newport News, Farmers market in Va beach. Again, I have carried at all those locations with no issues.
