IIRC, when bumpstocks first came out, they said it was meant as an assist for shooters with certain disabilities. When others found what they could do with them when they weren't disabled, that's when the "fun" began.
so is this discrimination against a disability?

The posting is not about bump stock use on LGs per se. It's about government overreach. Lets stay on topic.

Here's a thought: How about you get and keep your errant nose out of other people's business.

It was on topic. To review, here's the post you said was off topic: "Yeah, that was dumb. Plenty of videos out there on how to bump fire your semi-auto rifle merely by holding your hands and trigger finger in a certain, rigid position."

Here's WHY it's smack on topic:

Thread Title: Trump Administration Imposes Ban on Bump Stocks
OP: Two links and an excerpt, which included the fact the NRA “believes that devices designed to allow semiautomatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations."

My comment was that one's own hand and fingers allow for bump-stock-like action when held in the proper position.

Implication: Are they going to ban our hands and fingers, too? If not, then what's the point of banning bump stocks?

Seriously, dude. Only a moron would imply my comment was somehow "off-topic."

color of law, I do not personally care one bit about your opinion of me. You continued, and unwarranted aggression, however, makes you look bad, and by association, makes the forum look bad. That's something I do care about.

This is USE of bumpstock is relevant to handguns right, otherwise, if memory serves LG discussion is a rule violation.

Since9, I am sorry to disappoint, but CoL's post you just cited as intruding CoL's 'errant nose' and just snip'd quite a tirade toward him in your post was actually posted by CoL towards me, as reflected by CoL specifically quoting my post in his post!

So Since9, why are you exhibiting such erratic and antagonistic behaviour as well as being extremely pugnacious attitude towards more and more forum member(s) of late?

Are you doing alright in your physical/mental environment, or your personal life, employment, family, and friends as these behavior is completely and totally out of character for you here during past interactions with the membership, so is something amiss going on with you.

The term "ban" needs to be the singular focus of all individual liberty seeking citizens. If a "ban" is enacted, will government goons go house to house? If not then there is no ban. Will cops come to your house, clearly violating your 2A, if they "reasonably believe" you have a banned item. Will cops not enforce this clear violation of the 2A...don't hold your breath on this one.

A clear 2A violation by government...encourage by the NRA...again.

Apparently you have a reading comprehension disability. And, speciously you also don't seem to understand that I am the author of this thread, not you. Your idea that you get to dictate what my intentions are as to my original posting is quite presumptuous.
By the way, your self-importance is glaringly exposed.
