We have not discussed this for awhile, but maybe we could have a picnic. We need to invite Spokane's new police chief.
Any idea's?

Manito has worked well, sort of centrally located (in a south central way). Might have to wait until October if you want to have the new chief attend. We could also look at Mirabeau Point Park in the valley. Should invite the Sheriff as well.

Definitely

I'll be there, and I can probably round up some friends. Just let me know when you choose a date. I'm unemployed right now, so anything works.

Dang,
I believe our new chief does not start until Oct.
Pig out in the park is this weekend, Aug. 30th thru Sept 3.
I will be out of town on Sept. 8th and 9th.
Thor will be wed on the 15th. Congratulations!
So, the first Saturday to be clear, unless someone wants to do it on the 8th, will be Sept. 22nd.
And they said herding cats was easy!
Any thoughts of having one during the week? A Friday afternoon? A Sunday?

It would be great to get every one in the same place, we just need to do the best we can.

Maybe we could just meet at Pig Out Saturday Sept. 1st.

I can't make 22 September. Spokane Gun Show; 22, 23 September.

Orphan has said the 29th is the first Saturday he can make it. Nobody has said yet they can't make the 29th.

The consensus seems to be for a Saturday.

Fetch, you started this. Make a decision for us.

Lets move it out to Oct so the new Chief can attend, I think we invite SPD and the City Council members too.

I'm excited about the picnic, when ever I'm out of the house I'm OC. I haven't yet seen anyone else out there so it will be nice to see other people in the community that are like-minded (at least when it comes to gun rights).

about the new chief

I dont think Spokane will have a new chief of police for a little while. Apparently Mr. Straub
hasnt been a comissioned officer for at least the last two years(as reported on kxly's website),
which means he will have to attend a five month course at the academy or get a waiver from
the training comission. So i would hold off on inviting him to the picnic.

About the new chief

Mr. Straub got his waiver to earn his commission. Just 9-weeks of online courses to go.
