The Obama/Biden Anti-Gun Thread

This forum is being inundated by threads/articles/blogs/quotes about Obama's anti-gun positions. While this is somewhat relevant to open carry, and more relevant to gun owners' rights in general, it is ridiculous to have 12 out of the top 40 threads here discussing essentially the same topic, and to have as such, 12 simultaneous discussions of the same topic.

So I propose that Mike or John sticky this thread, and that we all try to post news stories and such about the anti-gun sentiments of Obama/Biden on this thread instead of creating a new thread, and leave the rest of the threads to deal with topics more directly relevant to OCDO. And I request from members an exercise of restraint in using abusive and/or harassing language.

And if this is a bad idea, I would be more than happy if Mike or John deleted this thread... it just seems to me like it would streamline things to funnel this species of political discussion into one thread.

Anyone want to start it off with a fun new article?

It IS a good idea. But if you watch the political threads maybe you can see them as I do; an OG/intellectual/poseur (like me) finds an acute observation well stated and rips it to here. There is a delay and then the generally good responses come, followed by the retorts and then the trollery. I prefer to cut the thread, only glance at recognized goodguy posts or ignore it altogether and start again.

I follow you guys around the forum and comment when my interest is piqued. do you think that I waste my time in a forum that has attracted Stylez or Tit-tiger?

Either we are equal or we are not. Good people ought to be armed where they will, with wits and guns and the truth. NRA KMfreekinA$$
