Like he said , if political critters feel free to hound us at home, they need not expect to be royalty once elected.

Some of us are our own worst enemies.
True, McNutt didn’t even check to see if the man he wanted to lobby was there. Wife and kid got harassed instead.

Dumb move.

Yeah, it gives one a so-there moment. We sure showed him. But the goal was undermined. Dumb move.

Folks in TX need to say to McNutt, “Thanks, but no thanks.”

Or follow his lead in greater numbers, plus vote this prima Donna rep out of office.

Exactly what did McNutt do at his residence? Were charges filed?

IMO house speaker had no intention of the bill becoming a law, while I do not condone going to someone's home, even peacefully which it would seem. This AH has no intention of supporting the second amendment and needs to be voted from office ASAP.

As far as the left harassing, it actually works for them, has worked for them for decades.

No.

Dumb and dumber.

Let the left harass. We should be better than that.

Yes we should sit in the corner hands folded neatly while our liberty is stripped.

Screw that. This jackwagon no doubt was accessible to anyone that would give him the time of day to get elected.

Now he's to good to be approached by commoners.

Vote the bum out.

Please don’t make it appear that I said what I did not say. Doing so is disingenuous.

Folks, I said nothing like, “We should sit in the corner[,] hands folded neatly[,] while our liberty is stripped.”

I am saying that going to the speaker’s home, especially when he is not there is dumb (as illustrated by this story). I am also saying that advocating that many people go to his home is even dumber.

Harassing political opponents (often in their private lives) is what the left does. We are better than that.

As WW pointed out...

But the advocate brings up a valid point....during election periods the candidates, seeking initial/re-election, show up on citizen’s doors w/media in tow to show how much they care about their constituents!

Guess whats good the autocratic legislative savants isn’t for their constituents...sigh.

Wow, that is, indeed, a great post, except for the fact that Bonnen's wife wasn't at the home when Chris did his block walk, Bonnen's kid was totally oblivious to the matter as Chris never got close to the door, Chris had block-walked multiple other neighborhoods distributing his scary "fully automatic" flyers and his "fully-automatic" T-shirt, (pretty much like virtually every politician and political-hopeful does), when he noticed the DPS troopers, Chris approached them, rather than the reverse, had a very congenial conversation with them, and asked them to place one of his flyers on Dennis "The Menace" Bonnen's door, which they did. At this point, Chris went on his way, and no one with any first-hand knowledge of the matter has disputed Chris' version of it.

At this point, I would suggest that "folks in OH," who appear to have absolutely no first-, second-, third-, or even forth-hand knowledge of this so-called "incident" may want to stay out of the business of patriots like Chris McNutt.

Uh, COL, I think maybe you've just been glove-slapped and called a nosy Yankee Carpetbagger! :ROFLMAO:

Dat kat think he a real Texan and to heck with the rest. Also the in-group hero thing is laid on a little thick. 😇

But I support all 2A supporters as long as they truly are helpful to the cause. Between questionable tactics and RINOs, neither side smells great in this incident, yet I detest RINOs and they stink the most. They suggest his actions killed the bill, but that's illogical; if you believe in something, a weird incident pro or con would not sway you at all.

In an email, Pendery defended McNutt's activism, saying she has talked with him at length about the recent drama and believes he is "guilty of nothing more than flyer distributing." Bonnen, of course, sees it differently

Interesting...

From the linked article:
...Texas House Speaker Dennis Bonnen declared Friday that a “constitutional carry” gun bill was dead after a gun rights activist showed up at his Houston-area home to advocate for it...

Bonnen, a Republican, was in the state capital of Austin but his wife teenage sons were inside the home. [emphasis mine] ..."

The above is presented as factual in the OP-linked story, and I opined based on that assertion of facts. If you have sourced assertions of facts that differ, please present them from that source. I will be happy to consider them.

The actual facts with regard to the matter are readily and easily available to anyone who possesses even a modicum of interest in obtaining them.
