It went very well their was a show of officers from SLCPD. Around 15 Uniformed 3 Plain clothes and four or five federal police officers. The entire motor's unit was also out in force.

At the federal building the Federal officer I dealt with last year Inspector Osbourne was watching my every move and threatened to have me arrested if I stepped on the plaza as per our conversation over the phone the day before. Their were several open carriers at the TEA Party but they did not notice them as they concentrated on me the whole time.

At 1200 hrs we went up to the Capitol were the enviorment was much better. Still a large amount of SLCPD and Highway Patrol.

I was never harassed and never asked for ID. It was a very good time with several open carriers Nick Moyes spoke and did a great job(UVU Student). The attorney general spoke and did a very good job as well.

Educated a large amount of people about open carry. Got some face time with the attorney general talked about the University of Utah illegal ban on open carry. And overall was very positive.

No TEA Party crashers or disruptions the crowd was very well behaved and had good media coverage.

I will be up there visiting from the 19th to the 24th. I will be staying with friends in herriman, looking at realestate and making some employment contacts. Open carry is on my agenda for the entire week and I was wondering if any meets or functions were planned. I am looking forward to my visit, can hardly wait.

Sincerely, Defensor

Thanks, checkin it out. My friend says that there is a gun show in there somewhere. Mostly I'm just going to enjoy OC'ing and being there.

Glad you went! Any obvious party crashers?
No obvious crashers in Provo. No hassles at all.

I am glad to hear of the no hassles and glad you went. I was unable to go to the one in SLC due to work, but I am glad you and others came out to represent us! Thanks!

Curt.

I went to the Logan party and was also disappointed not see any other OC'ers. Inspired by another image on this forum though, I'd decided to fix up my holster so that if people wanted to stare, or crashers wanted to take 'inflammatory' pictures, that people would instead be educated. See pic (hopefully it worked!).

I spoke with a couple of the media covering the event though none, it seems, took pics or posted pics of my rig. And I know it was noticed. Oh well.

There were some crashers at the Capitol building (or at least some over the top or excessive attendees) that were handled discreetly and turned away. Very few even knew about it.

I went to the Capitol. I OC'd and saw 3 others doing the same. There were some anarchists that showed up. The funny thing is that they should actually agree with the movement to a certain extent. I'd like to see the government reduced by about 80% and they'd like to see it reduced by 100%. We're only off by about 20%!

I didn't have any problem. I wandered around, I chatted with the AG, I chatted with the anarchists. 2 people asked me about it and one of them was CC'ing.
